Bode And Morgan Miller Announce They Are Expecting Twins A Year After Losing Their Daughter

Pregnancy announcements are usually happy occasions, but when a couple has been through the death of a child, they can become bittersweet.

Last year Olympic skier, Bode Miller, and his wife, professional beach volleyball player Morgan, lost their daughter in a tragic accident.

They've been open about their grief and today shared some happy news with fans.

Last year, the Millers experienced every parent's worst nightmare.

Their daughter, 19-month-old Emmy, drowned in a pool while the family was at a neighbor's party.

Since then, the couple have become outspoken advocates about child water safety.

Many of their social media posts aim to bring attention to this issue so that other families can avoid a similar tragedy.

However, the couple recently made an uplifting announcement.

Their family is about to grow by two more as they announced that Morgan is pregnant with twin boys. In her Instagram announcement, Morgan took time to reflect on being pregnant following Emmy's death.

"From the beginning of this pregnancy, we knew Emmy had her hands in this miracle somehow," she said.

The twins will join the couple's other four children.

The new babies will be surrounded by the love of their siblings: Nash, 4, Easton, 10 months, and Bode's children, Neesyn, 11, and Sam, 6, from previous relationships.

Glad to see that this family is growing, moving forward, and healing.
