Disneyland Is Throwing A Boozy After-Hours Halloween Party For Adults This Fall

If being an adult has taught me anything, it's that a Halloween party only really needs two things for its attendees to consider it a wild success: booze and candy.

Clearly Disneyland recognized this same fail-safe formula while they were planning their upcoming fall festivity, known simply as the "Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party."

What is this, you may ask? Well, it's a night of tricks, treats, and alcohol, all taking place at Disneyland. So basically, the ultimate Halloween Party. And while it's technically open for all ages, it's definitely meant for teens and adults. Sorry, kiddos.

California's Disneyland resort will introduce this brand new after-hours party this fall.

According to People, the event was inspired by various Disney villains and will be hosted by Oogie Boogie, the gambling bogeyman of The Nightmare Before Christmas fame. He'll be your adorably titled "monster of scare-e-monies" for the evening.

There's actually an entire story surrounding this party and it all has to do with Oogie Boogie himself.

As it goes, this character has unleashed some of Disney's most notorious villains inside the park, including such evil-doers as Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), and the Shadow Man (Princess and the Frog).

According to the resort's website, our host has summoned these villains to the park "for an unforgettable night of fun and fright."

The party will include a stunning new World of Color nighttime show called "Villanious!"

In addition to this laser light extravaganza, guests can bust out their best Monster Mash moves at DescenDance, a "pulsating dance party" inspired by The Descendants trilogy.

If you dance your heart out and feel like you need a bit of a break afterwards, you can relax with some more shows, like the Frightfully Fun Parade or Mickey's Trick and Treat Show, a not-so-spooky Halloween show at Disney Theater for those looking for a bit of a break from all the ghostly fun.

Unsurprisingly, the entire park will be decorated accordingly for the event in usual Disney fashion.

The best part? Trick-or-treaters can visit various candy cauldrons at treat stations all throughout the park and get their hands on some free goodies to snack on while they enjoy their spooky, fun-filled evening.

If that's not enough for you, there will also be plenty of new Halloween-themed food offerings, like Oogie Boogie funnel cake fries and rice crisped treats.

But let's talk about what's really got us all excited: the promise of booze.

During the event, alcohol will be sold openly, which definitely isn't usually Disney's style but hey, it's a party, right?

But don't worry if you can't find a sitter; although there may alcohol available, this is still a family-friendly night. There are a few more adult-level scares added, but there are still rides and character meet-and-greets that the kids can enjoy, too.

The Oogie Boogie Bash starts on September 17 but will only run for 20 select nights this fall.

So, I'd suggest you go out and get your tickets ASAP because this is one Halloween Party you won't want to miss out on.

Tickets will be sold separately from other Disneyland attracions and can be found here. Prices range from $110 to $145 per person.

Happy haunting!
