The Next 'American Crime Story' Will Be Based On The Clinton Impeachment

American Crime Story has found its next story, and it has to do with the impeachment of President Bill Clinton.

It will be based on the book: “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President", written by Jeffrey Toobin.

And Monica Lewinsky is the one who will be producing it. So you KNOW it's going to be good.

The chairman of FX, John Landgraf, described the upcoming story as this:

"‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’ will likewise explore the overlooked dimensions of the women who found themselves caught up in the scandal and political war that cast a long shadow over the Clinton Presidency.”

Ryan Murphy, who is the executive producer, read Toobin's book but had this to say about telling Lewinsky's story:

“I told her, ‘Nobody should tell your story but you, and it’s kind of gross if they do,’”

And he encouraged her to tell her own story!

“If you want to produce it with me, I would love that; but you should be the producer and you should make all the goddamn money.’”

Will you be watching?

I definitely will, because I know it'll be amazing and kind of heartbreaking (which are two of my favorite things).
