I think it's safe to say that Twitter is easily amused, right?
And if you thought that they wouldn't care about Dakota Johnson closing the gap in her teeth, well, you'd be very wrong.

She really crushed that role.
Very few actresses would have been able to capture the essence that was Anastasia Steele like Dakota.
Crazy, right?
Or maybe it's because you can't be bothered to pay attention to celebrity's teeth.
And I mean, fair enough.
And let me tell you, they had reactions.
Speaking as someone with a gap, I like to think that my own friends would care this much if I closed it.
Am I the only one wondering why she closed it so late in her career?
I mean, we love the gap, but if she wanted it closed, why not do it before the Fifty Shades movies took off?
And if closing the gap is what makes her feel confident, then more power to you, Dakota!
I know what you're thinking — "yeah, she accidentally got dental surgery, right," but it's actually a pretty believable story when you hear her tell it.
Dakota herself was asked about this when she sat down with Jimmy Fallon to promote the premiere of The Peanut Butter Falcon.
"There have been some headlines about you the past couple days, do you know what I'm talking about?" Fallon asked her, going right for the jugular of this incredibly important issue.
"First of all, the fact that this is a newsworthy event in our world right now is pretty Chaka Khan to me," Dakota joked.
Dakota explained that she was having neck pain issues so her orthodontist suggested removing the retainer to see if her jaw would expand and accommodate the neck pain.
Dakota explained that she has to deal with a whole new world of problems, like getting food stuck in her teeth, since before it would just "slide right through."
Dakota also joked that she'd put in a new retainer to get her gap back again afterwards to try to deal with the loss.
It looks like Dakota's as upset as the rest of us about the loss of Gappy, but we're sending her love and support at this trying time.
