Skittles is offering its eager consumers the ultimate 'trick or treat' candy this Halloween with the release of their latest and spookiest edition yet, Zombie Skittles, Delish reported.
But don't be fooled into thinking these will be just any regular old Skittles. Halloween may be about treats but it's also about tricks, and this bag is chock-full of tricks.
There's Petrifying Citrus Punch, Mummified Melon, Boogeyman Blackberry, Chilling Black Cherry, and Blood Red Berry.
But there's actually one more flavor that the product helpfully advertises to consumers with a "beware" warning. Inside each package are a few pieces that don't taste like their usual flavor. Instead, these ones are filled with a rotten zombie flavor. The catch? You won't know which ones are bad until you start eating them.
"Our fans love Skittles not just for its delicious fruit flavors, but for the irreverence and sense of humor for which the brand is known," she said in a press release for the new product.
"This Halloween, we wanted to give our fans the ultimate rotten twist on the candy they know and love, challenging them to test their bravery over a bag of Zombie Skittles."
Anyone brave enough to stick a hand inside the Zombie Skittles bag and eat whatever they pull out are encouraged to gather other like-minded friends and record themselves giving the new candy a try. Then, they can post the video to Instagram with the hashtag #DareTheRainbow, as well as tagging @skittles in the caption.
This new candy will hit major retailers across America in August and will be available in three sizes: Share Size, Lay Down Bag, and Fun Size Bag. Happy eating!
