Despite recent rumors blowing up the Internet that everyone’s favorite Riverdale couple split, and that the end of Bughead was nigh, Lili Reinhart seems to have confirmed that she and Cole Sprouse have not broken up.
Rumors began circulating at Comic Con.
Us Weekly reported that sources had said the couple had split long before the convention and were putting on brave faces for the sake of the show.

It was reported that someone overheard Cole say that he and Lili had broken up.
After a few days of radio silence, it seemed the split was all but confirmed, and millions of Bughead fans all over the world were devastated. Luckily for them, Lili has taken to Instagram to prove everyone wrong.
Lili posted this magazine cover of Cole and herself.
Her caption told everyone everything they needed to know: “BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know [expletive.]”

The article itself doesn’t seem to know for sure if the couple is still together, but their Instagram captions seem to suggest they were having a bit of fun with all the rumors.
Cole shared the same image on his own Instagram page with the caption, “UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult.”
Looks like the message is that when it comes to this notoriously private couple, we should wait for them to speak out about their relationship before we reach for our tissues and cry while rewatching Riverdale .
