If you didn't know, multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that attacks healthy tissue in the central nervous system.
"I was in pain. I wasn’t always drinking, but there were times when I couldn’t take it."
They chalked her symptoms up to her being a new mom to son, Arthur.
She told GMA's Robin Roberts that she once even had to pull over for a nap after driving Arthur to school.
"They were tears of knowing I now had to give in to a body that had loss of control, and there was some relief in that."
If you didn't know, the actor was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991.
She won't let anything — not even MS — get her down.
"He said within a year, I will have 90 percent of my abilities back."
Just a few weeks ago, she shared the heartbreaking news that she was separated from her son due to health reasons.
"I need this boy to see me do things I never thought I could. And I will do my best. It really is gratitude."
Selma has called it her "banner day."
We think she looks amazing!
The star will be immunocompromised for at least the next three months, so "no kisses, please," she said.
"For now, I have recovery."
