12+ Celebs Who Were Mommy-Shamed For The Dumbest Reasons

Being a mom is hard enough. Being a mom in the public spotlight? That is an actual nightmare.

Many people think they know how to parent the kids of celebrities better than the celebrities do. Not only are they super wrong, but much of the outrage they kick up is dumb af.

Here's some of the absolute most ridiculous ones.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood inhaled helium (which is harmless in small quantities) and sang her infant son, Isaiah, "Happy Birthday."

What did the mommy shamers hate? Oh, the way she's holding her son, of course.

I'm happy to report that Isaiah survived that traumatic incident.

Snooki

I can't believe this. Snooki, who is a human being, posted this picture of her adorable kid looking less than perfect.

Commenters told Snooki to brush her child's hair, which is the definition of stupid. The kid's hair had clearly been brushed and had gotten mussed at some point.

People suck.

Victoria Beckham

Guys, you know what the problem with this picture is? According to the comments, it's something incredibly stupid:

Brooklyn's tattoos.

Yup. What kind of self-respecting mom would let her grown son get tattoos? Probably the same mom who not only has tattoos of her own, but is not in charge of her son's life.

Jada Pinkett-Smith

Facebook | Jada

Jada Pinkett-Smith had the audacity to let her daughter, Willow, cut her hair short when she was 12.

People were not happy with that decision, and held Jada responsible. Jada had something to say about that.

Megan Fox

Apparently, having long hair makes them look like girls, and that is upsetting to mommy shamers!

God forbid those kids have hair that they like. No one wants to look like a girl.

You know who has long hair? Jason Momoa. You know who doesn't look like a girl? Jason Momoa.

Kim Kardashian

I can't believe this. Kim Kardashian...let her daughter...wear a nose ring.

Oh, hang on, sorry, I'm just getting word from the newsroom: it was a fake nose ring.

In the words of Kim's nemesis: You really need to calm down.

Chrissy Teigen

What hasn't Chrissy Teigen been mom shamed about?

I could write a whole article on her alone. And I'd be on her side every single time, for the record.

In this video, Luna is negotiating with Chrissy for candy. Commenters were relieved to see Luna's hair was "finally brushed."

Oh my god. I'm going to scream.

Kylie Jenner

Listen here: moms are not allowed to have a single day off. Never. You can't take a date night, or a tiny vacation. Don't even dream of it.

At least, that's what Instagram commenters said when Kylie Jenner went to Coachella. Ugh.

Hilary Duff

Um, how dare Hilary Duff kiss her son? That's so messed up.

Sorry, kissing her kid isn't messed up, sexualizing the relationship between a parent and a child is. Just making sure we're clear on that one.

Khloé Kardashian

Khloé Kardashian has long nails, and that offends some moms.

Yeah, seriously.

Khloé laughed while talking about it. "If I can wipe my own [expletive], I can wipe my child’s [expletive]!"

She's right.

Mila Kunis

Breastfeeding is an exhausting, painful process for mothers. Which is precisely why they want to hear everyone's thoughts on the subject, right?

Mila Kunis was criticized for breastfeeding in public, to which I have to say: she was feeding her child. That's what breasts are for.

Kourtney Kardashian

Reign has long hair. That is unacceptable. Kids can't wear their hair how they want!

They have to give into preconceived gender roles and only have short hair, if they're boys.

Well, that's according to Kourtney's commenters, anyway.

Hopefully, Reign got a haircut and a towel for Christmas.

Halle Berry

You know how this whole article is mostly based on people shaming moms for what they share on social media?

Well, there's no winning, because Halle Berry was criticized for not sharing her kids on social media.

Amazing.

Kristen Cavallari

Instagram | @kristincavallari

Um, you can see Kristin Cavallari's son's spine in this picture, which I am pretty sure is illegal.

Wait. Do you mean kids grow and change constantly, and her kids are perfectly well-fed? Because that's exactly what Kristin clapped back with when mommy shamers tried to come for her.

Kate Beckinsale

Hello? 911? Yeah, Kate Beckinsale went out partying instead of staying at home with her daughter.

You know, her 18 year-old daughter.

The audacity of a woman to enjoy her life! Who does she think she is, a rich and famous celebrity that raised a well-adjusted daughter?

Oh, wait...
