Whoa, Cara And Mady Gosselin Are Grown Up And Headed To College
I'm assuming you all remember TLC's "Jon And Kate Plus 8" because how could you possibly forget?!

It was an iconic part of the early 2000s that will forever be engrained in our minds.
And believe it or not, it's been a whole 12 years since the show premiered.
Which is absolutely insane if you ask me.
As you'll recall, the show was a HUGE hit.
Unfortunately, it had to come to a bitter end when Jon and Kate decided to get a divorce.
The final episode of the show aired in November 2009.

The series eventually got renamed — dropping "Jon And" from the title

Kate Plus 8 began airing in 2010, but was quickly shut down when Jon's lawyers sent letters to TLC — demanding that they cease and desist production.
"Kate Plus 8" was eventually able to resume production, barring they didn't exceed 150 episodes.

So, we didn't exactly get to see all the kids grow up and glow up.
Until now.

And guess what, y'all? They're off to college!

Two, fully grown 18-year-olds.
For their 18th birthday, Mady posted this photo of her and Cara on Instagram.

"I’d like to think that adulthood suits us well so far," she captioned the photo.
UM, EXCUSE ME? How the hell did this happen? Where does the time go?
My mind? Blown!
It's also clear that Kate and her girls have a super strong bond.

"i’ve learned to value the lessons she’s taught me more and more as i grow older and i’ve become increasingly grateful for her guidance. love u mom," Mady wrote on Insta.
Now as shocked as we all are, Kate is in even more disbelief that two of her babies are leaving the nest.

“It is the biggest mixed bag of emotions and stress I have ever faced,” she told People.
"Mady and Cara really steered the ship in terms of applying to colleges."

"They knew what they wanted, and I trusted them," she said..
"That same feeling is going to have to carry me through my fears now when I think about them going off on their own".

To make things even more stressful for mama bear, Cara and Mady are going to different colleges.

They're leaving the nest and then separating?
That's a lot to take in.
“They agreed all along that they don’t want to go to the same school,” Kate said.

Good for them, tbh.
She continued, “Their ambitions are so different that they really felt there’s not one college that would fully answer what each of them wanted.”

She explained that she's just excited for them both to eventually come home and visit.

“I don’t care if they only come home to see the dog—fine with me, she said. “As long as they come home!”
For now, the twins are helping their mom find a new BF on her new show, "Kate Plus Date."
"The last time I dated I had a pager," Kate joked.
It's safe to say Mady and Cara seem like such lovely, bright young girls.
