10+ Celebs Who Could Have Been Cast As Elvis In The Upcoming Biopic Instead Of Austin Butler

Well since my baby left me, I found a new place to dwell, Well, it's down at the end of Lonely Street at Heartbreak Hotel.

Now, who do you think could rock that?

So why are biopics the new thing?

IMDb

It's probably because Bohmenian Rhapsody took home a bunch of Oscars.

It definitely seems like the right route.

And Elvis is the next one up to get the biopic treatment.

HBO

Oh my goodness, talk about an awesome soundtrack!

I'm actually pretty excited for this, darn it.

And our Elvis has actually already been cast!

Austin Butler has just claimed the crown for Elvis.

We're sure there will be a ton of divided Elvis fans.

Tons of people might have some issues.

But not everyone.

But let's just, for fun, take a look at who else might have been a good casting choice.

1. Tom Hiddleston

Gravier Productions

Tom Hiddleston can not only act, but he can sing, dance, and speak a ton of languages.

He would be a perfect fit to play Elvis.

2. Miles Teller

IMDb

This guy is young, he's hot, and he's got the black hair to match Elvis'.

He's a pretty darn good singer and in Whiplash, he showed he could play a troubled musician.

3. Ansel Elgort

IMDb

The star of Baby Driver would be a pretty good choice to play the iconic singer.

He can also dance and sing, which are two pretty important aspects of Elvis' character.

4. Aaron Taylor-Johnson

IMDb

Alright, so like the other two, this guy is young and hot. He also kind of looks like Elvis too, which is a plus.

Also, he's played a musical icon before! He was John Lennon in the 2009 movie Nowhere Boy.

5. Harry Styles

IMDb

Oh, we're aware that Harry Styles can sing. Any One Direction fan could tell you that.

And with a burgeoning acting career, could Elvis be the role he needs to prove to the world he has what it takes?

6. Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Warner Bros.

Not only is JGL a fantastic actor, but he can dance for days.

He is also quite handsome and knows how to turn on the Elvis charm.

7. Adam Lambert

We know he can sing, we know he can imitate other singers to a degree (see Queen) and finally, we know that he has moves.

Imagine this singer shaking his hips like the King?

8. G-Eazy

Believe it or not, there has been a big push all over Twitter for this rapper to play Elvis.

I don't know much about him, but I do know he's a big star in the music world.

9. Bruce Campbell

IMDb

Bruce played an aged Elvis (or maybe an impersonator) living in a retirement home in Bubba Ho-Tep.

I don't know if he can sing or whatever, but come on... it's Bruce Campbell.

10. Stitch

I mostly included this because it's just straight up hilarious.

Maybe they can make a cartoon version called: Stitch: The New Elvis.

What do you think?

HBO

Do you think that Austin Butler is the right call? Or would you rather have someone else be the legendary rock star?
