Mom Orders 'Moana' Cake For Daughter's Birthday, Gets A Hilarious Mistake Instead

Most parents today love to celebrate their kids birthdays by throwing a huge party (that the kids won't really remember). But, they plan elaborate gatherings for all of their friends and family to come.

On the bright side, it's a way to get new toys for your kids without having to buy them. But, on the other hand, it costs an arm and a leg to throw a kids party.

Whether you throw a backyard party, or a party at a catering hall, all moms always pick a theme.

With the popularity of Disney movies and kids TV shows, moms have a plethora of themes to choose from.

Many girls love to have a "Frozen," or "Moana" theme.

Moms go above and beyond decorating with balloons, plates, napkins, streamers, and more. The most important aspect of any party, as always, is the cake.

Kensli Davis from Milledgeville, Georgia wanted to have a "Moana"-themed birthday party.

Her mom went out of her way to order decorations and even called the local Dairy Queen to order a Moana-themed cake.

She anticipated picking up a cake that had the characters from the hit Disney movie.

As Moana is such a popular movie with kids, many would assume it would be rather easy to order a cake with the movie's lead characters.

As it turns out, Kensli's mom ended up picking up the most absurd cake possible.

Kensli shared the photo on her Facebook page, showing that sometimes even the professionals get it wrong.

The mistake? Dairy Queen employees thought Kensli's mother ordered a "marijuana" cake.

Kensli shared the photo on Facebook saying: "I haven’t had a chance to tell y’all about our experience this weekend with my birthday cake. So my mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana. (Because really I do) Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana. That ice cream cake was still good though."

How could a restaurant get it SO wrong?!?

Kensli had an idea or two. "I think they thought that she said 'marijuana' because we are from south Georgia and kind of have an accent. So, 'Moana,' marijuana?"

Kensli was more surprised that they added the "My Little Pony" character.

She added: "I guess when they said that I love cartoons, they were just like, 'Let's throw a little pony on there.' It had red eyes. It was smoking a joint with a tramp stamp of a pot leaf on it's bottom."

Instead of trying to do a theme again next year, Kensli said she'll avoid it altogether.

Kensli told WMAZ: "It won't be 'Moana' or marijuana. I just won't get a design at all. I'll just get a regular ice cream cake if I have to."

Kensli's not the only one who's had a birthday cake fail. In fact, people get it wrong more often than you'd think!

Cake fails happen to amateurs and DIY bakers alike.

Word of advice: maybe make the cake yourself!

At least it will cost less money if you mess it up, it'll just be your own fault.
