Jenelle Evans Says It Took 'Almost A Week' To Forgive Husband For Shooting Their Dog

Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans has had a dramatic summer so far. Her husband, David Eason, and herself recently reclaimed custody of their two year old daughter as well as Jenelle's two other children.

Jenelle and David initially lost custody after David allegedly shot and killed their dog, Nugget.

Jenelle initially shared this photograph of herself and Nugget on her Instagram page, captioning the shot, "Nugget... I’m crying everyday. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me."

"You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons," she continued.

"Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed... you’re not here."

"You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught," she finished.

Fans immediately flooded her and David's Instagram comments condemning him for resorting to violence against an animal.

David claimed he had only acted the way he did because Nugget had bit their daughter.

He shared a video he had recorded of the incident that seemed to show two year old Ensley playing with Nugget before the dog snaps at her.

"I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face..."

"Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that [expletive] at all," he wrote on his Instagram, sharing a photo of Ensley after the incident. In the photo, there's a red mark on the child's cheek, but no skin appears to have been broken.

Jenelle has finally broken her silence on the story.

Recently Jenelle took to her Instagram story to hold a Q&A with her fans, where one asked her if it was hard to stay with David after the "dog incident."

Jenelle's answer was shocking.

She said, "Honestly yes, we were on bad terms for almost a week. Didn't talk much. He knows how upset it made me. Now that we are getting over this incident our relationship has got a lot stronger. David has completed anger management as well."

Fans were incredibly skeptical of the amount of time Jenelle said it took to forgive him.

One fan said, "I think they shouldn't even have a pet goldfish! That would have been enough for me to leave," while another added, "She should be #banned from owning any type of animal besides her Husband."
