Bhad Bhabie Wants To Be Ariel In 'The Little Mermaid' Live-Action Remake

There has been a LOT of drama surrounding the casting of the live-action version of Disney's The Little Mermaid, but a new contender has just thrown her hat into the ring. Or maybe she's thrown one really long acrylic nail into the ring. It's hard to tell.

In case you have no idea who Bhad Bhabie is, let me refresh your memory.

Danielle Bregoli first appeared on Dr. Phil and made waves as she wasn't afraid to sass anyone and anyone with her signature catchphrase, "Catch me outside, how about that".

She turned her 15 minutes of fame into a career.

She is now a rapper, and actually became the youngest female rapper ever to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her debut single "These Heaux".

It's true!

It seems that she could have some interest in taking her rapping career to Hollywood.

When a Twitter user made this connection between Bhabie's red locks and Ariel's famous head of hair, it must have seemed so obvious.

Bhad Bhabie agreed.

Come on, wouldn't you love to hear a classic like "Part of Your World" with a badass rap break right in the middle of it?

Apparently all you need for the part is red hair.

At least that's what it looks like, considering how hard Lindsay Lohan was campaigning for the part.

Bhad Bhabie is also 16 years old, which makes her the exact right age to play the part too.

Somehow, though, I just can't quite get behind it.

Disney

Something about Bhad Bhabie's image doesn't scream "family friendly, Disney brand" to me. I can't exactly put my finger on it.

Still. Even if you're getting a little tired of live-action Disney remakes, at least one starring a teenage rapping sensation who got famous on Dr. Phil would be unique.

Don't worry though, Disney has officially cast their Ariel, and no, it's not Bhad Bhabie.

I'm so sorry to be the one to break the bad news to you all.

But on the bright side, Halle Bailey has been chosen to be Ariel, and we LOVE this decision.

We have complete faith that the 19-year-old Grown-ish actress is going to really knock this one out of the park!
