Today folks, we return to one of the most fabulous and out there shows on TV: Ru Pauls Drag Race.
And I mean... finally! I can't wait to talk about this awesome program.
I should mention that this won't be a spoiler-free article.
So, if you're still catching up, then make sure you do really quickly, like set everything else aside, then return to this article.
Perfect, because we've got a lot of ground to cover today, people. After Yvie Oddly's win, we need to talk Season 12.
So grab your wigs, your makeup, and your finest dress, and always remember: This is not RuPaul's best friend race.
Isn't that the question we've all been asking ourselves since Season 11 ended?
Life just seems so meaningless, like I'm just a candle in the wind... or something. I can't even do similies anymore.
Soon (well, not soon, but soon relative to... Season 13) Season 12 will start up again, and light will once again pierce through the dark clouds, giving us something to watch on TV yet again.
We don't even know for sure that Season 12 is happening yet.
I mean, from what I've heard through the grapevine VH1 hasn't even renewed the series for another season yet...
I mean, why the heck would they cancel it?
It's one of the biggest shows on TV these days, with a rabid fanbase that will tear down the VH1 HQ if they cancel RPDR.
Well, we know that casting has begun... and already finished.
Sorry to burst your bubble there, but a video was put online in January 2019 by World of Wonder, calling for new cast members.
About the potential cast members:
“Time for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 casting. If you are a showgirl, if you are a drag queen, if you are a girl with a cha-cha heel and a pussycat wig, honey, you better get on up on this show.”
Well, unfortunately, we might have a bit of a wait.
We're not sure exactly when the show is supposed to air, but new seasons usually come on at the beginning of the year.
Season 11 aired February 28, 2019, and ended May 30, 2019.
Oof, jeez, what is that... 6 months and 29 days away! Break out your calendars, people!
Well, for starters, you'll be immortalized as one of the winners of Ru Paul's Drag Race, which I'm sure means there's a special place in heaven for you right next to the G-Man himself.
You'll win $100,000, a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, and a crown and scepter.
Why the scepter and the crown? Because you're a queen and a star, baby!
We should probably figure out who's going to judge this thing.
Because, as a great man once said, a contest is only as good as it's judges (the great man is me).
Oh, right.
Well, other than RuPaul, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the return of judges like Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews, and Carson Kressley.
Also, expect some celebrity judges, obviously.
Write down how you're going to pass the months! What is your pre-RuPaul life like? Who do you wanna see on the show as a guest judge?
My votes on Vice President Mike Pence.
