Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal's 'Straight Up Romance' is Friendship Goals

Everyone in life needs a best friend. Someone you can tell all your secrets to, someone who'll always laugh at your jokes, someone to help cheer you up when you're feeling sad.

For some people, like me, that best friend could be anyone from your college roommate to your adorable little kitten (I love you Whiskers!!!). For others, like Tom Holland, that best friend is Jake Gyllenhaal.

Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal have been spending a lot of time together lately.

They've been promoting their upcoming movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie after this summer's Avengers: End Game, which left us all in desperate need of some cheering up.

'Far From Home' might not give us that cheering up.

Based on the trailer, it looks like Far From Home is going to make us shed a few tears too, since the characters are all recovering from the devastation and death (no spoilers!) from Endgame.

But Tom and Jake have been working TIRELESSLY to make us laugh in the meantime.

The two have gotten along like a house on fire, making this one a bromance for the books. Or should I say, romance?

Okay, not like that.

In an interview with Good Morning Britain, when asked about the pair's chemistry, Jake responded, "‘It’s straight up romance, let’s be honest. It’s not even a bromance, it’s straight romance."

And honestly, you could do romance a lot worse.

Jake and Tom have been traversing the world together and having a blast the entire time. I'm getting serious FOMO. Why can't I go on vacation with my friends, and why aren't any of my friends Jake Gyllenhaal?

Jake's even edited videos together for Tom.

That's true friendship. If you wouldn't edit a video of funny moments together for me, do you even care about me at all?

Jake also shared this video on Valentine's Day.

Which is kind of just what I see when I look at Tom Holland in general. Maybe 2019 should be the year we all get a little bit more romantic with our friends! Take a page out of Jake and Tom's book, 'cause it looks like it's really working for them.
