Little Debbie’s Holiday Cakes Are Back So You Can Celebrate ‘Christmas In July’

Ah, Christmas.

I'll admit that I'm at my absolute happiest when it's the festive season and I'm busy decking the halls and jingle-belling-all-the-way. I binge-watch holiday movies like there's no tomorrow; I blast Mariah Carey's chart-topping Christmas hits; I decorate the hell out of every available space in my apartment. Basically, I go all out.

There's nothing that I enjoy more than indulging in absolutely everything and anything Christmas. And that includes all those tasty Christmas treats.

Little Debbie has been a big part of my Christmas dessert obsession.

Homemade cookies are amazing, and don't even get me started on Christmas coffee cakes, chocolate bark, and all the delicious pie you can stomach.

But there's definitely something to be said about those store-bought Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, the ones your mom slipped into your lunch bag as a special little surprise at snack time and that you now happily buy in bulk because you're an adult with your own money and this is the sort of thing you can do.

But when the Christmas season is over, so too is the season of those tasty Little Debbie snack cakes.

Then, we're stuck waiting another entire year before the boxes grace our grocery store shelves and we can once again delight in everything Christmas and everything delicious.

But what if you could have those very same holiday cakes in July? Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong.

Little Debbie is giving the people what they want and releasing those iconic Christmas Tree Cakes for the summer.

Little Debbie

According to People, these cult-classic snacks are currently in the process of hitting Walmart shelves so you can enjoy your favorite holiday cakes without also having to give up your summer.

Now the two aren't mutually exclusive, which is what I'm sure Little Debbie herself would want.

Marketed as 'Christmas In July' cakes, these snacks are exactly the same creamy treats you remember from December.

The recipe hasn't changed at all. You're still getting sweet vanilla cake decadently coated in white chocolate and adorned with red icing and those festive green sprinkles.

The box is where the big difference lies. Now, instead of posing in his usual Christmas garb, Santa Claus is kicking back and relaxing on the beach with a Hawaiian shirt and (of course) some milk, because even old Saint Nick needs a vacation.

Each box contains five individually wrapped and beautifully festive cakes for just $2.

These treats have been released at Walmart locations nationwide, but don't wait around all summer before heading out to grab your own box.

These things won't be around forever, so I'd say it's definitely in your best interest to hit up your local Wally World to snag yourself what's sure to be the hit snack of the summer.
