John Stamos Finally Broke His Silence On Lori Loughlin's College Admissions Scandal

Since the college admissions scandal news involving Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, broke earlier this year, we haven't heard a much more than a peep from the cast of Fuller House.

Until now.

The great college admissions scandal of 2019 was a wild ride to say the least.

Among the dozens of parents that were involved in the millions of dollars in illegal transactions that got their kids into college was Full House and Fuller House star, Aunt Becky, AKA, Lori Loughlin.

Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty to fraud and money laundering conspiracy charges.

And court documents indicated that they waived their right to appear in court.

Which is why we haven't seen Lori signing autographs outside the courthouse much these days.

Honestly, seeing Lori smiling and signing autographs outside the courthouse — looking shockingly cavalier about the deep legal consequences she may be facing was my favorite part of the entire scandal.

Evidence eventually revealed that Lori and Mossimo's bribery was buried to appear as though their daughters were admitted under plausible pretenses.

On paper, it appeared that their daughters were accepted into college as athletic crew recruits — despite the fact that neither of them actually participated in the sport.

However, their fate hasn't quite yet been determined.

Lori and her husband could be facing up to decades in prison.

“When Lori heard the number of years she could spend in prison, she broke down crying," a source revealed to Entertainment Tonight.

"The thought of being separated from her loved ones for years brought her to her knees,” the source said.

“She has watched as the other families cut deals, but her husband feels they are not guilty and should plead not guilty."

"[Lori and her husband] claim they were under the impression they might be breaking rules, but not laws," the source continued.

"They feel they were manipulated by those involved and are planning that as part of their defense."

"They realize how serious the charges are, but feel that once the judge hears their story he will see they had no bad intentions," they added.

Naturally, given the state of Lori and her family's reputation and legal troubles, she was fired from her TV role on Hallmark Media series, When Calls the Heart.

So of course, we assume that her time on "Fuller House" might be over as well.

Her longtime co-star, John Stamos, has finally weighed in on Lori's situation.

John didn't clarify whether or not Lori would ever be returning to the show.

But the series began filming its fifth season just three months after Lori was accused of paying to get her daughters into college.

And given that Lori probably has her hands full with other more pressing things right now, we can probably guess that she won't be apart of season five.

“I haven’t been on the show yet and it hasn’t come up," John explained.

"So I’m going to talk to some people about it this week and see what’s going on,” he continued.

John is actually producing this season of Fuller House, himself.

“I’m just going to wait a little longer before I talk about it.”

“It’s a difficult situation for everyone involved,” he added. “I don’t mean just on our side.”

According to John, the fifth season is going to be cut into two nine episode parts.

Unfortunately, at this time, no official release date has been announced yet.

John was pretty vague about addressing the situation. But hopefully he's ready to open up about it more in the future!

The show isn't the only thing with its future up in the air right now.

Lori's daughter, Olivia Jade, has had a few attempts at righting her own career path that got (rightfully) thrown off by this admissions scandal.

Olivia Jade was an Instagram influencer and YouTuber with nearly 2 million subscribers.

And in 2019, that's literally a full-time job so why her parents felt the need to scam her into college we may never know.

On top of that, Olivia has a ~sweet~ partnership with Sephora.

Unfortunately for her, she was dropped shortly after the admissions scandal erupted. She's since tried to make a return to the world of beauty influencing, but it didn't go too well.

Her odds of being accepted back with open arms are pretty low.

Some people made sure to leave some pretty savage reviews of her makeup products on the Sephora website before the products were ultimately pulled from production.

Needless to say, that's a tough one to recover from.

She's also allegedly desperate to get back into school.

Despite admitting herself in a vlog that she didn't really care about school and was only interested in going to USC because of the parties and football games, lol.

Apparently, Olivia Jade has been trying to get back in the school's good graces.

She's hopeful about her future there.

A source told Us Weekly, "she didn’t get officially kicked out and she is begging the school to let her back in."

I'm not sure how that will work out for Olivia, but if Aunt Becky can return to Full House (potentially), maybe anything can happen.
