Live Rat Drops From Ceiling And Lands On Woman’s Menu At Buffalo Wild Wings

I'd like to think I'm a pretty easygoing person when it comes to eating at restaurants. I never get upset about mixed up orders or particularly long wait times, and I'm definitely a generous tipper.

Basically, I'm of the belief that eating at a restaurant doesn't give you any excuse to act like spoiled royalty to the servers.

I do, however, think that there are some restaurant experiences that justify negative customer reactions.

Like, for instance, if a rat suddenly dropped from the ceiling and landed on my table. I think that would be a perfectly acceptable time for me to freak out.

One woman had this exact experience recently while dining at her local Buffalo Wild Wings.

According to LADBible, Alisha Norman was sitting at her table in the Los Angeles restaurant when she witnessed the rodent drop from the ceiling and land squarely on her table, directly on top of her menu.

"So what do you do when a rat falls from the ceiling onto your table?"

In a post published to her Facebook page, Norman shared a series of grossed-out emojis, as well as the caption, "Really LA? I was just trying to watch the soccer game."

Maybe the rat wanted to watch too, who knows for sure?

She also shared several shudder-inducing photos of the rat lying on her table, its long tail hanging over the edge.

Apparently, the rodent's surprise arrival was due to construction going on above the restaurant. In an interview with NBC, Norman admitted she knew the rat was in trouble when she heard it land on her table, which she said "hit like a Mack truck."

Let's not forget that there is more than one victim in this scenario.,

As gross as this whole situation is, it's also a little sad to think about this motionless, injured rat lying helpless on a Buffalo Wild Wings table.

Norman agreed that the incident was "disgusting" but said she's not angry.

She said the restaurant's manager came and scooped up the still-living rat with two plates, later dumping it in a bag. The manager also took care of her bill to compensate for her...unexpected lunch guest.

The people commenting on Norman's post couldn't believe she didn't leave the restaurant right away.

"I'd be out the door as fast as I could go," one user wrote, while another chimed in with, 'Id be out! Maybe the only time I walk out on a bill!"

In another reply she told any doubters out there, "You really can't make this up...you just can't."

However, Norman was unperturbed and stayed at the restaurant to watch the rat be disposed of.

In response to one of the comments she explained, "I'm a science teacher and went to nursing school, I've seen worse."

Make sure to watch out for flying rats at your local restaurants folks!

Not the craziest thing to ever grace a person's plate while dining, but certainly not the most casual thing either. Ratatouille's seen better days.
