Chipotle Is Dishing Out $1 Million Worth Of Free Burritos During NBA Finals

For anyone who may not keep up with the world of professional basketball, here's a quick rundown of the current situation: we're coming up on the NBA finals with the Canadian team of the Toronto Raptors going up against America's own Golden State Warriors. The first game in the series is taking place Thursday night.

So, now that you know basically everything you need to, I suggest you invest some time into watching the games because you just might win some free burritos out of it.

Chipotle is celebrating the NBA finals by giving hungry fans the chance to win free burritos during the games.

The best part is you don't even have to leave your couch. The contest is being run through the company's Twitter so you've can sit back, enjoy some basketball, and maybe even win yourself a burrito while you're at it.

Dreams really do come true.

The giveaway is also meant to promote the company's nationwide free delivery offer.

Delish reported that the company will be offering free delivery throughout the series.

From May 30 to June 9, as well as June 6, 13, and 16 (should the series continue this long), orders of $10 or more placed through the Chipotle app or DoorDash will receive free delivery.

Free delivery is all fine and well, but let's talk about how you can get your hands on some free burritos, too.

This promotion is being called "freeting". What does this mean exactly? Well, it means you're going to have to pay extra attention to the games if you want to win yourself a free burrito.

Any time the announcer says the word "free", Chipotle will live tweet a code that can be redeemed for a free burrito.

Just listen for phrases like "free throw", "free agent", "breaking free", etc. When you hear that, head over to Chipotle's Twitter and grab the code, then text 888222 for instructions on how to redeem that burrito.

In total, Chipotle is anticipating to give away $1 million worth of burritos.

The company is joining other food chains using the NBA finals to give away some delicious treats, like Taco Bell whose offering its "Steal A Game, Steal A Taco" offer for the fourth consecutive year. If a road team wins a game, fans win free Dorito Locos Tacos.

The stakes are high this year for sure. Will you win a free burrito? Will you win a free taco? You'll have to tune in to find out.

Oh, and also find out who wins the finals. Of course.
