Dany's Death Was Actually Foreshadowed In Season 2 Of 'Game Of Thrones'

Okay, get ready, because the hope here is that we make you feel a little bit better about what happened to her in the series finale.

If the title didn't give it away, there are some Game of Thrones spoilers ahead.

Daenerys Targaryen has gone through an emotional rollercoaster for eight seasons.

And while we loved most of it, a lot of people weren't quite happy with her ending in season eight.

Especially considering how terrible her life had been for so long.

One of Dany's first major losses came from the death of Khal Drogo.

HBO

It was heartbreaking, but they might have actually found each other again.

Relax and read on to find out how.

So, let's take a trip back into season two.

HBO

Remember this vision? Looks awfully familiar now, doesn't it?

It shows a younger Dany, in a destroyed King's Landing, walking on what we thought, at the time, was ash.

But it was actually snow, because Winter has come.

HBO

In the vision, Dany finally sees her goal: the Iron Throne.

Yup, all of this played out in the series finale.

After the vision, Dany then goes into a tent and sees Drogo holding her son.

HBO

And those are the words that she says.

Yeah. They really put the biggest clue in the world for us to catch SEASONS ago. We just missed it.

Her vision played out exactly how she saw it.

HBO

She walked into a destroyed throne room, snow on the ground and lay her eyes on the Iron Throne.

But she didn't expect the second half of her vision to come true.

Her death was actually the completion of her vision.

HBO

It might sound crazy, but it's true.

It allowed her to go to the afterlife, where she would be with her beloved Drogo and their son.

Does any of this make you feel a little better?

HBO

Hopefully, it does.

A lot of people were angry about her death, but at least, in her own way, she got to be reunited with her loved ones.
