As I'm sure you already know because seriously, who doesn't? Prince Harry is officially a papa and he couldn't be happier.

But, of course, he wishes his mother, Princess Diana, could be here for this joyous moment in his life.

The entire world gushed over the gender reveal that we've been waiting for all year.

But what's been even cuter than the baby himself, is Prince Harry's reaction to becoming a father.

As he announced the arrival of his son, he couldn't stop smiling — explaining how "over the moon" he was, and that the "little thing is absolutely to-die-for".

"It's been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined," Harry beamed.

"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we're both absolutely thrilled," he went on.

"We're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there," he said.

"It's been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody."

Both new parents looked incredibly excited to have welcomed their bundle of joy.

But Harry can't help but feel bittersweet, wishing that his mother was around to meet her grandson.

Harry was just 12 years old when his mother died in a tragic car accident, in 1997.

The details of Diana's death are still haunting to this very day, 22 years later.

At 36 years old, she was vacationing with her partner Dodi Fayed, on his father's yacht on the French and Italian Riviera.

While travelling back home, the couple stopped in Paris. They had only planned on staying for one night.

Shortly after midnight, Diana and Dodi left the Hôtel Ritz and were being driven to Dodi's father's nearby apartment.

At the time, Diana was one of the most photographed people in the world. So, in an attempt to avoid paparazzi, she had a decoy vehicle.

The decoy vehicle left ahead of her to deter the paparazzi, and the vehicle she was in trailed behind.

Sadly, her driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pillar.

Diana was rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery, where she was discovered to have critical internal injuries.

She was tragically pronounced dead two hours later.

Since Princess Diana's passing, her sons, Prince William and Harry have made sure to carry out her legacy.

But naturally, right after the birth of his first child, Harry has especially been missing his mother.

While Harry was recently visiting veteran Dennis van der Stroon in the Netherlands, he opened up about missing his mother.

Dennis' mother had recently passed away from chronic lung disease. He and Harry were able to bond over their "shared experience".

Their conversation was "amazing and emotional,' Dennis told People Magazine.

"He said he meets a lot of people in his work who have lost a mother, father, sister, brother or relatives and when he hears their story, as he heard my story, he said he doesn't feel so alone," he explained.

“He said missing a mother is like missing some kind of security, how you need that as a son and it falls away when you lose your mother," Dennis went on.

It's nice that Harry is able to connect with others who have lost a loved one, and is able to hear their stories, as well as share his own.
