'Avengers: Endgame' Fans Are Pissed Because Of One Character's Limited Screen Time

With Endgame making money like it was going out of style, could there anything that might be wrong with the awesome new movie? Let's find out.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

"Avengers: Endgame" is how you should end a franchise.

IMDb

And viewers agree.

It smashed box office records, and everyone who's seen it has positive things to say about it.

People have even gone to great extents to avoid spoilers.

Reddit is banning spoiling-Spencers and some people are getting beat up for spoiling the movie.

4chan (as per usual) has gone out of its way to ruin the film for people, spreading spoilers all over its website and even its subreddit.

But we're not here to talk about that.

This article won't be spoiler free.

So, if you haven't seen the movie yet, then turn away. Or close your eyes and ears. Whatever you need to do, do it.

Are they gone?

IMDb

Good, because we need to discuss the absence of one character in particular. We won't say the name just yet, just in case someone who doesn't want the movie spoiled accidentally scrolled down. Seriously, this is your last chance.

Alright, here we go: where was Okoye?

IMDb

You know, the kick-butt warrior who helps good ol' Black Panther... well, kick butt.

It goes without saying she's one of the coolest characters in the Marvel universe.

The problem is, she wasn't in Endgame all that much.

IMDb

She was in it a little in the beginning and a little at the end, but her role was frequently overshadowed by what the other Avengers were doing.

And this is an issue because they were really boosting her.

IMDb

All throughout the press tour, she was present. Why would they do that?

Was it supposed to throw people off? I personally think she was just there for fan service.

Some people thought her over exposure in the promo tour was manipulative.

One person even pulled the race card, thinking that they overused Okoye because they wanted to make the cast look more diverse.

I dunno... seems a little too evil for a company like Disney.

And the poster did her no favors either.

Do you remember the poster controversy?

You don't? Well, sit back, relax and we'll regale you with a tale of snubbery. Relax knights who say Ni, we said snubbery.

Back in March, Marvel released their "Endgame" poster

While the poster looks awesome, there's one name suspiciously absent... that's right, it's Danai Gurira's, the woman who plays the awesome Okoye.

Even though her character is on the poster.

A couple days later, Marvel Studios released a new poster.

And a pretty classy apology too.

See, there's no way the mega-corporation that's slowly buying up all the competition could be evil!

Wait... hold on, I feel like this is how dystopian movies start.

All was good for a while.

Until fans started watching trailers and noticed that Okoye was suspiciously absent from them. That probably should've been a red flag from the beginning, folks.

Then, they saw the movie and presto: hardly any Okoye.

IMDb

And that's a real bummer because we were all interested to see where her story arc would go.

Considering she had to watch T'Challa get snapped away right in front of her eyes.

However, people are really excited to see what happens to her.

IMDb

Especially in the upcoming sequel to Black Panther.

Will she address the snap? Who will be the villain? Will they go with the same themes of before?

Gosh, I'm so excited!

What do you think?

IMDb

Would you have liked to see Okoye more in Avengers: Endgame?

What do you think she would've done? Then again, considering it's a billion dollar movie already, maybe they did something right...
