Kim Kardashian Says She's Studying To Become A Lawyer And Taking The Bar In 2022
In an interview with Vogue, Kim revealed that she is studying to become a lawyer.

Last summer she decided to embark on a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco — the goal being to take the bar in 2022.
For months, Kim has been taking a serious interest in the justice system.

Alongside CNN commentator Van Jones and attorney Jessica Jackson, Kim has been making her rounds — visiting prisons, petitioning governors, and attending meetings at the White House.
Last year she even successfully petitioned POTUS to commute the life sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a nonviolent drug offender.

Ever since then, Kim has been unwavering in her commitment to stop future injustices from happening in the first place.
“I never in a million years thought we would get to the point of getting laws passed,” she says. “That was really a turning point for me.”

Although she admitted that the material she would be having to digest may have been a bit out of her depth, she still wants to educate herself further.
"The White House called me to advise to help change the system of clemency,” she said.

“And I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, Oh, [expletive]. I need to know more.”
Many are confused as to how Kim can possibly become a lawyer when she never finished college.

California is one of four states that offers another route to becoming an attorney that does not require a college degree.
“First year of law school, you have to cover three subjects: criminal law, torts, and contracts,” she said.

“To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring, and crim law I can do in my sleep. Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me," she added.
“The reading is what really gets me,” she said “It’s so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds.”

Some fans easily understood where Kim's sudden aspirations are coming from — since her father was a lawyer.
But the majority of fans weren't quite as supportive.
One person pointed out that having a soaking wet photo of yourself on the cover of a magazine doesn't exactly scream 'I'm taking the bar in 2022.'
Some people found the whole concept to be hilarious.

"I just read the funniest headline probably ever," one fan wrote. "Kim Kardashian-West is studying to become a layer. LMAO."
They found Kim's new-found goals to be very amusing.
One fan asked "don't you need a degree or something".
Adding, "who's going to hire a reality star as their lawyer".
They make a pretty good point. The whole reality TV star career may have tarnished her ability to be taken seriously in other, more serious industries.
Other fans don't think Kim will ever become a lawyer, despite what she's said.
This person compared Kim Kardashian becoming a lawyer, to them randomly becoming an astronaut — highly unlikely.
This fan shared a hilarious simulation of Kim hypothetically questioning Taylor Swift in a courtroom.

Some people believe that Kim is making a mockery of the profession.
"Why make a mockery of the hard work, diligence, respectability and intelligence it takes to be a lawyer?" they wrote
"Please stay in your lane," they added.
This person isn't surprised that Kim wants to become a lawyer. But not for the kindest of reasons.

"Lawyers by their very nature are narcissists," they wrote, "so please forgive me for not being shocked that Kim Kardashian is studying to become one."
