Lena Headey Revealed Why She Didn't Attend The 'Game Of Thrones' Premiere

The entire Game Of Thrones cast got together for one last hoorah — sitting down to watch the final season's premiere.

But one very vital cast member was nowhere to be found and we have questions!

HBO announced that season eight will be the final season of "Game Of Thrones".

This news was an extremely jagged pill to swallow for all die-hard Game Of Thrones fans — but we're coping with it the best that we can.

The season eight premier will be airing on April 14th.

This means we're nearly one week away from finding out the fates of our beloved characters.

It's an emotional time for all of us.

The trailer dropped some serious hints.

The two-minute-long preview taught us quite a few things about what we might be able to expect.

We were able to connect the dots on a few key things. But ultimately, we won't know for sure until the season wraps up.

All we know for sure, as that there is going to be a very intense showdown.

It'll be the most epic battle of the entire series, between the living and the dead.

We also think that there's a pretty solid chance that Jon Snow is going to ride a dragon that is named after his father.

Anyways, Wednesday night was a milestone for the entire cast of "Game Of Thrones".

All but one cast member attended the season eight premiere: Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister — a rather important character.

Lena took to Instagram to explain her absence, claiming she was just feeling under the weather.

But she didn't take things lightly. She seemed pretty devastated that she missed the event.

"Gutted, heartbroken, and [expletive] off, still doesn’t cover my disappointment at not being able to travel to NYC for our final premiere tonight," she explained.

"I [expletive] hate being sick and the timing of this is a [expletive] bag!"

"But ...S8 is the tits," she wrote.

"And so are all my cast mates and crew mates and creators, so RIDE FORTH INTO THE NIGHT AND CREATE MAYHEM...Love you beauties".

One of Lena's cast-mates made sure to ease the major FOMO that she was feeling that night: Emilia Clarke.

Emilia commented on Lina's Instagram post, letting her know that the entire crew was missing her and that she was there "in spirit".

Lena replied back to Emilia, embracing her kind words with a string of heart emojis.

The ultimate sign of reciprocated friendship!

Although Lena missed the big night, it surely won't be the last time she and her GOT pals get together.

Fans were just as heartbroken as Lena that she couldn't make it to the premiere.

This fan shared these two photos of her with some of the cast "because they are pure gold".

Couldn't agree more!

Some fans were heartbroken for Lena and thought the premiere wouldn't be the same without her there.

"It simply was not the same without her sexy [expletive] slaying there".

Again, I couldn't agree more with this.

This person was shocked that after eight years of Lena carrying "Game Of Thrones", she didn't show up to the last premiere.

She must have been really unwell if a shot of DayQuil couldn't save her for long enough to attend.

Other fans thought that if Lena didn't show up, there would be no point in even showing the premiere that night.

Lena was a huge part of the show, and not having her there just didn't feel right.

Some fans were trying to contact Lena directly.

This person tweeted at Lena, begging her to show up to the premiere.

But in the end, Lena made the difficult choice to stay in bed.

Regardless, we are still just as excited for the premiere to air for the rest of us so we can finally get some closure.
