Everything about Meghan and Harry's relationship is pretty nontraditional in the eyes of the rest of the royal family. But is the name of their first child going to be?
Everything about Meghan and Harry's relationship is pretty nontraditional in the eyes of the rest of the royal family. But is the name of their first child going to be?
So the burning question here is, is she going to name her baby something traditional, or is she going to continue to go against the royal grain?
Three serious no-no's for prospective brides to join the family.
But it seems the rules don't apply to Meghan. So why start now?
Kate and William named their children after the ancestors of the royal family: George Alexander Louis, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, and Louis Arthur Charles.
All names we definitely could have seen coming.
How hard can it be, amirite?
People have literally been placing bets on what they think the gender of the baby will be.
It's kind of a big deal.
Many obscure names have been thrown out there, like Marmaduke and Ursula.
But ultimately, we've got to play the odds.
This one definitely seems the most likely, for very valid reasons.
Or Alice — the name of Harry's great grandmother.
Lots of great name choices if it's a baby girl.
Elizabeth is the Queen's first name, and Alexandra is her middle name.
Both of these options seem highly plausible.
Sofia isn't a name that is widely used in the royal family, but it is a highly popular American female name.
In the royal family legacy, the name Mary has come up plenty of times.
For example, Queen Elizabeth's sister's middle name is Mary. However, the name Grace has been seen much less.
The two most likely male-names that fans are voting for are Arthur and James.
The name Arthur has been seen a lot in the royal family — it's Prince William's and Prince Louis' middle name.
James is the name of the 11th person in line to the throne, the son of the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
After all, it's Meghan and Harry we're talking about here.
We should probably expect the unexpected.
All of these names are lovely, and although they aren't tradition per se, they definitely still seem like very suitable options.
Do you think it's going to be a girl or a boy, and do you think they're going to name him or her something more traditional or choose something more random?
