You want the right dress and the perfect shoes.
And, as it turns out, one bride's shoes turned out to be much more than a pair of wedding heels.
When Emma Letts got engaged, custom wedding heels were definitely a must-have on her list, among the million other little things you must consider when planning a wedding.
In 2016, while in the midst of celebrating her new engagement, Emma was hit with the devastating news that her mother had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
“Sadly, my mum past away around 17 months ago,” Letts shared with Weddingstar Inc., “It’s been so hard planning a wedding without having her with me and I have had lots of tears!”
While Emma's mother was still with her, she knew that Emma had ordered a custom pair of heels for her wedding from a company called Lace and Love.
Emma had paid a deposit on her custom shoes and arrived to finally pick them up.
What she didn't know, however, was that her mom had made some special plans with the shoes, unbeknownst to Emma.
Emma's mother wanted to do something special for her daughter on her wedding day.
She contacted Lace and Love, and not only paid for the shoes in full, but she also had a custom message added to the bottom of the shoes.
"...Your wedding shoes are my gift to you. Hope you have a magical day. Lots and lots of love and big hugs, MUM xxxx," the message concluded.
Lace and Love put it best in their post, "What a lovely thing for this mum to do and I know these shoes will carry an even more special meaning to this client. Her mum will be right with her on her wedding day."
