James Corden Pranked David Beckham With A Fake Statue And It's Super Uncomfortable

James Corden is an absolute legend for pulling this off. This has to be one of the most well thought out pranks I've ever seen.

Planning a prank for months requires some serious dedication.

Here's what happened!

The two have been friends for years.

What better way to show your good friend how much they mean to you than by orchestrating the greatest prank ever on them.

David had recently travelled to Los Angeles for the unveiling of a statue commissioned in his honor, by his former MLS soccer team, the Los Angeles Galaxy.

He was really looking forward to seeing the finished statue, in all its glory, and had very high hopes for it — since it had taken a year to make.

So, when James found out that David was having a sculpture made in his honor, he thought he'd have a little fun of his own.

He hired an entire crew to create a fake statue, over the course of two months.

He wanted the sculpture to be as unflattering as possible, without being completely unrealistic.

They made sure to emphasize the features that David had previously mentioned disliking on the real statue, like having an oversized chin and bottom.

The finished product was as atrocious as we'd hoped it would be.

James hired actors to play David's fans, and a look-a-like to play the sculptor.

David had already met the real sculptor a few months back, so the actor really needed to nail this part to avoid being found out.

The artist unveiled the statue, and David's facial reaction was priceless.

He was trying really hard to be polite, but it was clear that he wasn't having any of it.

The initial look of disbelief on David's face is what makes this prank so amazing.

The entire two month process leading up to this very moment was worth every second.

"It's slightly different than what it was when I saw it in Chicago," David said, adding:

"I mean, look at my chin. It doesn't really look nothing like me. I mean, look at my eyes. The only thing that's good is that hair and that's about it."

"I really don't see how this can go out," he went on.

"Look at my, bum, look at my [expletive]" he added.

"I'm telling you, in motion, that's how it looks." The artist replied.

"Look how long my arms are. I honestly look like Stretch Armstrong," David said.

He then gestured to his associate, Chris, who was in on the prank as well, asking him what he thought of the finished product.

"Chris, are you happy with this? What do you think?" He asked.

"I think it looks amazing." Chris quickly responded.

David explains to the artist that his wife and parents are supposed to be flying in for the unveiling of the statue.

But that he definitely did not want them seeing this.

Behind the scenes, James looked to the camera and said "He's being so polite even though it's terrible!"

David then asked for the cameras to be turned off.

Everything continued to go according to the plan.

A forklift rolls in to pick the statue up, but instead, "accidentally" knocks it over — shattering it into pieces.

"You've probably done me a favor," David said to the forklift driver.

James then bolts out, surprising David, revealing that he orchestrated the entire stunt.

David knew right away, as soon as he saw James, that he was behind the whole thing.

James Corden is officially the prank master. No one is safe. Move over, Ashton Kutcher.

I wonder who's next on his hit list. These should be a weekly thing.
