12+ Wild Rules The Kardashians Actually Live By

It's no secret that the Kardashian-Jenners are the most famous family in entertainment history. But just because the Kar-Jens are celebrity royalty doesn't mean they get to do whatever they want, whenever they want. Believe it or not, even Kim Kardashian has to live by certain rules.

So, I'm going to run through some of those rules and see how many I could stand to follow.

1. Manicures are a must.

According to Kendall Jenner, when she was younger, her mother "would have a nail artist come to the house once a week and she would make us get our nails done."

"She was like, 'You are never going to look like you're not put together.' So we were always getting them done," added Kendall.

These days, Kendall only gets a full set before photoshoots. Kylie, on the other hand, is always seen with a bold set of claws.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a weekly mani.

2. Do not, I repeat, do not call Kris Jenner "Grandma."

“At first I was ‘Grandma,’" said Kris, who now has a total of nine grandchildren. "All of a sudden I didn’t like the way that sounded,” explained the momager.

Instead, Kris prefers her grandchildren to call her "Lovely," which sounds like an easy compromise to me.

Being called "Grandma" might not seem like a big deal, but if you had nine kids calling you that, you might feel differently.

3. Kim Kardashian is not supposed to chat up the paparazzi.

In the past, Kim admitted,"Every time I'd go to the gym or go eat, every paparazzi would ask me questions and I would be like, 'Hey guys!' Like, I so wanted the attention."

These days, Kim listens to the advice of PR expert Jonathan Cheban, who advised her to stop talking to the pap.

"This has got to stop. Do you think Victoria Beckham sits and does all these interviews?" Kim recalls Cheban saying.

4.The Kardashian-Jenner daughters have to pay up to their momager, Kris Jenner.

That's right — on business endeavors where Kris acts as one of her daughter's managers, she charges a 10% commission fee.

Actually, Kris even filed legal documentation to try to trademark the term "Momager."

Apparently, Kris wanted to own the term for entertainment purposes (like reality TV show) and personal management services.

5. When you're at Kourtney's house, you live by Kourtney's rules.

A few of Kourtney Kardashian's in-house rules include no diet soda, no microwaves, and absolutely no plastic containers.

Both guests and family must abide.

6. Khloé can never be without H2O... even on the toilet!

On her app, Khloé suggested that her fans keep water, “in your bedside table, your car, purse, gym bag … next to the toilet, lol! NEVER be without H2O.”

7. According to a former Kardashian bodyguard, Kim isn't supposed to speak with her hired muscle.

In fact, one of Kanye and Kim's former bodyguards claimed that he was fired from his job for exchanging a few words with Kim.

So, um, that's intense.

8. Khloé Kardashian won't be letting her daughter, True, watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians anytime soon.

According to Khloé, her daughter won't be allowed to watch the show until she's at least 13 years old.

9. When Caitlyn Jenner was living with Kris, she wasn't allowed to dress in feminine clothing inside the house.

"The rules, kind of, for Kris and I [were] don't dress up, certainly around the house," explained Caitlyn.

"If you really feel the need to do that, when you're on the road take stuff and do that," added Caitlyn.

"I'd go on the road for speaking engagements, take a bunch of stuff, dress up at the hotel, walk around, do whatever I wanted to do, just to feel a little bit better about myself," explained Caitlyn. "And I kind of dealt with it that way."

10. Kim and Kanye do their best to live by a "no phones at the dinner table" rule.

"Kanye didn't have a phone for four years," explained Kim. "Especially when we first started dating it was rude to bring our phones with us out, so I learned from him to not really bring my phone."

Kim added, "We have rules at the table. If we are eating at a restaurant, we'll wait to do it (take pictures) when we are done eating."

Seems reasonable to me.

11. Talking about money is a no-no.

When asked how much her mobile app rakes in at the Code Mobile conference in Half Moon Bay, California, Kim Kardashian responded, "We’ll never talk dollars and cents."

12. Kanye has the final word on Kim's fashion.

When asked whether Kanye e-mails her with daily fashion tips, Kim said, "Absolutely, he does."

"Kanye sent me an email to not wear huge sunglasses anymore," explained Kim.

"What he does is he'll just send me amazing mood boards and great references of smaller glasses and say 'Oh my god, you have to have your team find these,'" she added.

Mood boards, eh? Alright...

13. Kim spends roughly two hours getting her hair and makeup done each day.

Again, this is less of a rule and more a way of life chosen by Kim.

To be fair, two hours isn't that unusual. On a daily basis, however, it's a bit intense.

14. Kim isn't supposed to smile for the paparazzi anymore.

If you look back at paparazzi photos taken of Kim Kardashian in 2005, you'll see nothing but smiles.

Wherever Kim was spotted, she looked ecstatic to be there.

But these days, Kim lives by Jonathan Cheban's words.

"[He said] 'Do you think everyone else has smiles on their faces? You are too happy, you are smiling way too much,'" explained Kim.

15. Their nannies can never appear on "KUWTK."

Think about it: Have you ever seen a Kardashian nanny on the show?

Obviously, the Kardashians have nannies, but they likely prefer not to show all the help they get on television.

Instead, we get a portrait of a more "normal" family.

By the way, you may not see the nannies on TV, but they're on-call at all times.

Apparently, if you're a Kardashian nanny, your job always comes first.

Then again, considering how much the Kardashian nannies likely get paid, it could be worth it.
