Bebe Rexha Speaks Out After Designers Refuse To Dress Her For Being A Size 8

Imagine being at the height of your career, nominated for multiple Grammys, and getting to attend one of the most prestigious award shows of the year?

You'd be feeling on top of the world, right? Now imagine someone telling you that you were too big to wear a designer gown.

That's what Bebe Rexha is currently dealing with, and it's not okay.

This is Bebe Rexha.

She's written various songs for Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, and Eminem.

Most recently, she's stepping into the spotlight and gained attention for her hits, "I’m a Mess" and "Meant to Be", featuring Florida Georgia Line.

This year, Bebe has been nominated for two Grammy awards.

She's up for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Meant to Be".

There's no doubt that she's currently at the top of her game right now.

As many celebs do, when you're attending a big award show, you search out designers to dress you for the evening.

Bebe was shocked to find that several designers wouldn't take her on because of her size.

She took to social media to vent in an explicit video about her experiences finding a designer.

"A lot of them do not want to dress me because I'm too big," she explained.

"If a size 6/8 is too big then I don't want to wear your [expletitve] dresses," she went on.

It's pretty shocking to hear that a size 8 is "too big" in the fashion world.

Fortunately, it seems that Bebe is not letting herself get down about it, and she has a ton of support from her fans and friends.

Even Tyra Banks took to Twitter to respond to Bebe's video.

Tyra has been open in the past about body shamers, and I'm sure she would have told these designers to "kiss her fat you-know-what."

"The Big Bang Theory" star, Mayim Bialik, jumped in and recommended Adena Rohatiner, who has no problem dressing size 8 women.

Yaaaaasssss Mayim!

Leona Lewis also chimed in and had a thing or two to say.

It's refreshing to know that while what Bebe is dealing with is pretty outrageous, she clearly has plenty of support.

Whichever designer she goes with at this point, is definitely going to be talked about this year, so keep an eye out!
