Fans Are Praising Kat Von D For This Intimate Breastfeeding Video

It's crazy that in the modern age, people still can't get over that some moms choose to breastfeed in public.

It's prompted social media movements that aim to normalize breastfeeding including posting brelfies (AKA breastfeeding selfies) on Instagram.

Celebs are getting in on this movement and Kat Von D is receiving a ton of praise for her recent contribution — an intimate video she posted of her breastfeeding her son.

In case you've been living under a rock, this is Kat Von D.

She is an extremely talented tattoo artist who first rose to fame on the TLC shows Miami Ink and LA Ink.

She then ventured out into the beauty world and launched the extremely successful Kat Von D Beauty brand.

In May 2018, Kat and her husband, Rafael Reyes announced that they were expecting a baby boy.

The announcement came as a total surprise, but it seems that this couple loves surprising us.

They announced their marriage in a similar fashion by posting a photo of their wedding rings in February 2018.

Kat posted updates of her pregnancy regularly, but some of her posts made controversial headlines.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Kat explained that she planned on raising her son vegan and would choose to not vaccinate him.

Fans were furious with the star's decision to not vaccinate her son, and many called for a boycott of her beauty brand.

Later Kat later clarified her stance on vaccines on Instagram writing, "While we believe medications, including vaccines, are not all bad—we also can't dismiss the fact that some may not be good for everyone."

In November 2018, Kat welcomed her son, Leafar Von Drachenberg Reyes.

Just like with her pregnancy, Kat has been super candid with motherhood on her social media accounts.

She's opened up about how she initially had difficulties breastfeeding, and even had to use donated breastmilk to feed her son.

According to Kat, shortly after using the donated breast milk, she was able to get the hang of breastfeeding and posted this video of her son enjoying some milk.

So glad to see that the family got over that initial hurdle! Breastfeeding is insanely hard, but by sharing videos and photos like this, she's helping spread awareness for other moms who might be struggling.

Kat followed up with another very intimate video of her breastfeeding her son outdoors.

"Getting some of that vitamin Double D!" she joked in the caption.

Fans were quick to praise the star for posting the video.

"This is absolutely beautiful. We need more mammas to help normalize breastfeeding. Congratulations again on your baby boy," wrote Instagram user @katiemandrik.

Others congratulated Kat for her new role as a mom.

"Congrats-you look absolutely happily beautiful, and the baby is everything," wrote Instagram user @nosillamp.

Way to go, Kat! Keep those brelfies and videos coming. We can't wait to see what other mommy milestones you plan on sharing.
