Nature will never stop being amazing.
From the profoundly beautiful to the profoundly disgusting, and from the perfectly balanced to the perfectly bizarre, Mother Nature always has a few interesting sights up her sleeve.
Unorthodox.

Spiders can get pretty creative in their quest to catch bugs. Here’s a spider that’s suspended a rotting tomato in its web to catch food.
Halved.

It’s really cool when you can see the sun’s light divided into individual rays. Sometimes, you can see rays make parts of the sky look dramatically different.
Step, step, sliiiide.

I wouldn’t have recognized these as otter tracks, but now that I know what they are, it makes perfect sense. You can see where the little critter stood up to get momentum before sliding.
Thicc.

This orange is actually two oranges that are fused together. That’s a nice little bonus. And yes, it looks like a butt.
I’m outta here.

This potato has sprouted, which isn’t unusual. What is unusual is that the sprout looks like a tiny person who’s trying to escape.
The Americas.

I’m not sure where this smoke cloud is coming from but I do know that it looks uncannily like North and South America.
*Tips fedora*.

This cube of pyrite — or fool’s gold — has grown a mini pyrite cube on top. It’s like pyrite is wearing a little pyrite hat.
Low ‘bow.

I don’t know what atmospheric conditions are at play here but it’s awesome how the mountain is festooned with clouds on top and a rainbow along the bottom.
Pretty.

Maybe it’s because I’m a big cauliflower fan, but I think the sworls and little patterns in this head of cauliflower are weirdly beautiful.
Tiny world.

This little hunk of moss shows just how much life can be found in a small piece of earth.
Bonus fingers.

I’ve seen hands with six fingers before, but this is pretty unique. It’s almost like they have four fingers but two thumbs on this hand.
The telltale heart.

This poached egg looks unnervingly like a human heart, but it’s just an egg. It’s full of, uh, hearty goodness.
The weight.

When you see pics like this, it starts to make sense that some creation myths involve a turtle carrying the whole world on its back.
Clouds rolling in.

It’s always a dramatic sight when clouds roll in en masse like this. It can turn a bright, cloudless day into a thoroughly overcast day in an instant.
Freezing cold.

This dramatically-lit birch tree shows how winter can completely take over a landscape. But in a few weeks or months, buds will start to form again.
Fresh from the earth.

You’re looking at opal in its raw, natural state. Those colors are incredible, and they’ll look even more vivid once this is cut up and polished.
Ice being weird.

The same principle that makes soda cans explode in the freezer caused this railing to break: basically, ice expands bigger than water, and if it’s in a tight space, it needs somewhere to go.
Moonbow.

You’ve seen rainbows, so how about a moonbow? It’s wild to think that this all comes from the sun’s brilliant light reflecting off of the moon.
Just pop it off.

I don’t know what would cause a chicken egg — which this is — to have such a defined line in the middle. All I know is that it looks like a Kinder egg pod.
This one stays.

This icicle was hanging from the underside of a car. But when the car pulled away, the icicle decided to stay.
