It’s 2018 and being ashamed of our bodies ends NOW.
With so many brave men and women speaking against society’s body norms and using social media as a platform to love every bit of themselves, more and more individuals are following suit and showing off their “flaws.”
Thanks to people like the individuals below, who push self-love and other necessities, every day hears a new voice promoting body positivity, and we are here for it .
1. This team of model and artist.

This duo set out to normalize thoughts about Vitiligo, a condition where the skin loses its pigment cells, resulting in discolored patches in different areas of the body. It’s honestly beautiful!
2. Chris Taylor

This makeup artist isn’t afraid to work his beautiful Vitiligo. In an Instagram post, he shared, “It took me a while.. But once I did.. I became more confident. Less selfish & ready to conquer the world.”
3. Jeana Turner

Jeana graced us with her beauty on America’s Next Top Model, where she taught us about alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. While she struggled with parting with her wig, she has embraced her condition and damn, it’s beautiful.
4. Shanice Carroll

Regarding the same makeover episode, this ANTM model wrote , “I didn’t get a makeover due to this beast called psoriasis. Having this problem I had to resort into becoming natural and be that way for the show.”
5. Drew Elliott

The girls’ bravery inspired the judges to do “makeunders,” including Drew Elliott, who revealed that he has vitiligo . “It’s for all of those people that have insecurities. I’ve worn mine on my face every day.”

While it’s completely tragic to have happened, I must admit, Mother Nature is pretty good tattoo artist. Instead of hiding out, this survivor is standing out loud and proud.

Sara is a model who thrives with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that affects joints and skin. She celebrates the skin she’s in, sharing Instagram shots and showcasing that all bodies are equally beautiful.
8. Bobby Knocks

Bobby is a model who got candid about the normality of stretch marks. Rather than feeling ashamed or embarrassed, she noticed “how cute my body can be despite lil changes.” YOU GO, GIRL.
9. Allison Kimmey

Children’s author Allison Kimmey took the opportunity to coin the term #GlitterStripes as a new way to speak about flaws with her daughter. It’s so important to teach the next generation self-love!

Plus-size styling service Dia&Co has started an incredible social media campaign called #FullBodyLove, where women (and men!) are encouraged to share what they love most about their bodies.

Radhika had struggled with loving her nose in the past, but after getting fed up with feeling bad about herself, she started a movement which asks those who have hidden from their side profile to post proudly!

This student and model dodged the over-plucking stage and let her beautiful brows grow naturally. She could care less about what others think, saying , “I personally think my face looks better this way. Others disagree, and that’s totally cool.”

Since losing her leg to Toxic Shock Sydrome, Lauren has been mission to spread the word about the disease. While TSS recently took her second leg as well, she’s not lowering her voice any time soon.

This woman has learned to love the way she looks with Ichthyosis. She embraces her skin condition but doesn’t let it define her. She is comfortable in her own skin and won’t take pity from others.

This young woman is now a modeling sensation after learning to accept herself for the way she is. Brunette is a cross-eyed model who proves that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
19. Diandra Forrest

This amazing woman has albinism and is showing the world through her modeling that albinos are nothing strange and should not be feared. Being different doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
20. Rose Geil

This woman has come to embrace her facial hair. At the age of 13 she began shaving all her hair, but now she’s realized it’s a part of her and is nothing to be ashamed of.
21. This workout queen who got real about her “smooth and toned” legs.

Instagram user @lizbabe0728 set the record straight by admitting that for most of her workouts, she wears compression leggings, and she let her followers know that “ITS OK to have some cellulite or whatever and still feel comfortable with the way you look.”

Samuel posts countless selfies showcasing his birthmark, and even his Instagram bio says, “It’s a birthmark.” Some people who have their own facial birthmarks share their admiration in the comments section of his posts.
23. Charisa Debully Francis

The teen made headlines when she inspired others by posting makeup-free selfies which showed off her pimples and scars. With over 33,000 followers, Charisa lets people know that beauty can be redefined.
24. Melody Mikél

Once bullied because of her freckles, this model is now booking jobs because of them. She admitted , “If I can be out there and project acceptance in someone and make someone else feel comfortable in their skin, then ultimately I hope that I’m making the world a better place.”
25. Emily Bador

This model is out here representing anyone with stomach rolls, armpit hair, and eczema. She wants people to know that they are not valued less because they don’t conform to the standard beauty norms.

Milly opened our eyes to how much of a difference a certain pose and some tights can make, and she embraces her body the way that it is without those social media tricks.
27. Megan Jayne Crabbe

This body positive Instagrammer has shared her journey overcoming anorexia and posts about embracing her curves. Megan wants to let others know that if she can go from being “completely consumed by anorexia to the body positive, belly roll embracing woman I am today, then you can find peace too.”
28. Morgan Mikenas

Morgan went a whole year without shaving her legs, and now she says she will never go back. She explained that it made her feel more comfortable and hopes her journey inspires others to be more confident.

This mother has Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome. It didn’t really didn’t begin to affect her until she was 40 and slipped on a patch of ice. She uses makeup to feel beautiful, but even without any, she is still stunning.

This teen was born with over 500 birthmarks all over her body. Despite years of bullying, she has come out on top, and has even dipped her toes into the world of modeling!

This man is another gorgeous model who doesn’t let ridiculous beauty standards get to him, especially as a male model. He has albinism just like Diandra Forrest, and he absolutely slays.
32. Melanie Gaydos

This lovely lady was born with a rare genetic condition called Ectodermal Dysplasia. She was bullied badly as a child and became suicidal, but she has definitely blossomed and overcome her struggles. She now models and is practically walking art.
