The world was devastated on Friday when the news of Hollywood legend Christopher Plummer's death was reported. The 91-year-old is survived by his daughter, Pulp Fiction actress Amanda Plummer, and his wife, actress-dancer Elaine Taylor.
Now, fans, friends, and former coworkers alike are paying tribute to the beloved actor, including his Sound of Music costar, Julie Andrews.
As many fans know, the actor first began on stage, making his Broadway debut in 1954, and would continue to return to the theatre throughout his film career.
Of course, Plummer was best known for his role as the head of the von Trapp family household in the 1965 classic The Sound of Music.
The two remained friends after meeting on set and would continue to support one another for decades.
"The world has lost a consummate actor today and I have lost a cherished friend," she began, according to People.
"My heart and condolences go out to his lovely wife Elaine, and his daughter Amanda," she concluded.
