More Celebrities Should Just Be Honest About Getting Plastic Surgery

It's not really surprising to anyone that celebrities get plastic surgery. After all, most of us probably have at least one thing about ourselves that we would change if we had the money to do so, and honestly, there's nothing wrong with that! Sure, in an ideal world, nobody would feel any sort of pressure to conform to beauty standards, but we don't live in that world, and people should be allowed to do what they want with their bodies, even celebrities!

They should just start being upfront about it.

I'm definitely not one to judge anyone who's gotten plastic surgery.

People are allowed to do whatever they want with their own bodies as long as it makes them happy, and for some people, that includes plastic surgery! If it makes someone happy, they should be proud of it!

Even when it comes to famous people.

It's not uncommon for celebrities to deny getting any work done.

Part of this is because sometimes they're selling us something, and admitting that THEIR smooth skin didn't come from the cream they're trying to sell might impact the number of sales they make.

Like Kylie Jenner, who admitted to getting lip filler, even though she'd initially claimed her lips looked larger because she was overlining them with her own lip kits.

Usually, though, celebrities deny getting work done because there's a stigma around the concept.

Kylie said her thought process when it came to lying about the filler was, "These kids, my fans, they're going to think I'm crazy. I didn't want to be a bad influence."

"I didn't want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself," Kylie explained.

It didn't exactly work out.

"They thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and up-front," she said.

When celebs *are* honest about the work they've had done, they don't face nearly the amount of backlash that Kylie did!

Take Kaley Cuoco, for instance, who's never been shy about what she's had done. "Years ago, I had my nose done and my boobs — best thing I ever did," she told Women's Health. "As much as you want to love your inner self, I'm sorry, you also want to look good."

Kaley made it clear that if you're doing something for you, you shouldn't be ashamed!

"I don't think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that's amazing!"

I couldn't agree more!

Even a supermodel like Tyra Banks isn't afraid to admit what's not exactly natural about herself.

Tyra revealed she'd gotten a nose job, saying, "I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth," adding that, "We as women need to stop judging.”

I couldn't have said it better myself!

The more celebrities that come forward and admit the work that they've had done, the less pressure we'll ALL feel about hiding our own insecurities! There's nothing shameful about getting cosmetic surgery, so why is everyone acting so ashamed?

What do you think?

Do you think if more celebrities were honest about what work they'd gotten done, it would help get rid of the stigma AND some of the pressure to try to naturally look like them? Or do you think they should be able to keep it private if they choose to? Let us know in the comments below!
