Andie MacDowell Shows Off Natural Gray Hair: 'I'm A Silver Fox'

There's nothing wrong with aging — look at me, I do it every day, and I'm turning out alright, aren't I? (Don't answer that.)

But still, for some reason, our culture is obsessed with telling us to hide every sign that we DARE to grow older. Hide those wrinkles with these fifty dollar creams! Don't smile too much or you'll get crow's feet (and don't get me STARTED on whoever decided to call them that)! And especially, especially, cover that gray hair.

Fortunately, there are a lot of role models to look up to who are rocking natural grays or whites.

Whether it's classic stars like Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren or it's younger celebs leaning into their new locks like Charlize Theron, there's no shortage of celebrities not afraid to let their gray flags fly!

Don't get me started on all the guy silver foxes out there! Hello, Anderson Cooper, George Clooney? I'm free any time for dinner.

The latest celebrity hopping on this all natural trend is none other than Andie MacDowell!

Andie, who you've definitely seen in Groundhog Day, Four Weddings And A Funeral, Ready or Not, Green Card, Magic Mike XXL, St. Elmo's Fire, or one of her many other works, made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show to show off her new silver locks.

"What happened was, I wasn’t coloring my hair, and it was half-colored back here," Andie said, gesturing to the back of her head.

"You could see my roots, and my daughters kept telling me that I looked badass. And the idea that I could look badass really appealed to me. So I went for it, and I am enjoying it."

I definitely relate to that — whenever I color my hair at home, I like to pretend all the chunks at the back of my head missing color are just there for spice.

"I went to the grocery store, and I saw a man there, a 'silver fox' guy," Andie went on.

"I immediately just put my shoulders back, and I was like, ‘And so am I,' you know? We both just shot a look to each other. It’s like, I’m a silver fox. That's where I am right now," Andie said.

I love that! I want to be part of the silver fox club too.

"I don't know what's gonna happen in five years," Andie added.

"I might color my hair again, but I'm enjoying it right now."

I for one am a huge fan! Do you love the silver look on Andie? Would you or have you let your natural hair grow out? Let us know how you feel in the comments below!
