Chris Meloni Teases 'Law & Order: SVU' Spinoff Series With New Pic

Chris Meloni, aka Elliot Stabler, is the savior we need right now. I don't want to say the world started going downhill once Mr. Meloni left Law And Order: Special Victims Unit but...it kind of did?

Think about it, when was the last time the world was happy? 2011! When did Chris leave SVU? 2011! Coincidence? I think not!

While the show is still amazing and the best part of my week, there's no denying I, and many other fans, miss the hunky, hilarious Elliot Stabler.

Now, it seems his highly anticipated Law & Order: SVU spinoff is finally underway and fans could not be more jazzed!

*Law & Order: SVU* is one of my all-time favourite shows.

With over 20 seasons of the hit TV drama, it's no wonder the series is finally getting a spinoff!

While most TV spinoffs are so bad and waaaaaaaaaaay worse than the original series, I have a good feeling about Chris Meloni's spinoff.

Maybe it's just because I have a good feeling about Chris Meloni? I'm not sure...

*Law & Order: Organized Crime* is the spinoff show Elliot Stabler fans have been waiting a decade for.

And unlike your high school reunion, you'll actually LOVE the people involved!

Last year, Chris revealed to the New York Post that he hadn't ever even planned on returning to the Law & Order universe until last year!

In case you missed it, Chris Meloni is making his long-awaited return to *SVU* this season before his own show kicks off.

While chatting with the publication, the 59-year-old told fans he's looking forward to seeing how his and Mariska Hargitay’s characters' "inherent drama" unfolds.

If you recall, they didn't exactly leave things on ideal terms when he left 10 years ago...

"Benson and Stabler are inextricably linked, locked and connected,” he said.

"I think there is truly and deeply a worthwhile, inherent drama in exploring that relationship."

He continued: "And the complexity of how Stabler left — the unresolved emotions both characters feel and how the fans feel. How my character left was really unsatisfying, I think."

“It almost feels that we won’t do one or two [crossover] episodes and move on our merry way. I just think there will always be possibilities there."

"People will always be hungry to see how we interact and how that dynamic has changed," he said.

WELL FOLKS, THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER!

As you may have seen, Mariska Hargitay posted a series of cheeky behind-the-scenes pictures from her time on the Organized Crime set earlier this week.

Now, Chris is doing some teasing of his own!

Posting a cute selfie on his Instagram, Chris showed the sign on the door that reads: "Law & Order: Organized Crime" with "Elliot Stabler" typed below it.

"Hey L&O:OC... we workin on it," he captioned the picture.

Naturally, fans lost their minds! It's truly going to be the show of the DECADE!
