Can you believe it's been 20 years since The Wedding Planner came out? It doesn't feel right that someone who was born when that movie came out could be in college, given that I don't think a day went by when I was in college that I didn't watch The Wedding Planner when I was going through whatever puppy love heartbreak I was going through at the time.
Matthew McConaughey And Jennifer Lopez Had A 'The Wedding Planner' Reunion For The Film's 20th Anniversary
*The Wedding Planner* is one of the best rom-coms, maybe EVER.
The movie, following J.LO as the titular wedding planner who has the unfortunate luck to fall in love with the groom of one of her clients, played by the always handsome and charming Matthew McConaughey, is one of my all-time favorites.
The stars recently reuinted in an Instagram Live together for the film's 20th anniversary and talked about their favorite memories of filming.
“It still feels like just yesterday we were in the middle of that field with the movie theater,” Jennifer said, before adding, "Do you remember doing that scene where you were about to kiss me?"
That scene is one of the most romantic of all time, so I'm sure Matthew wouldn't forget!
“You said, ‘Miss Lopez, I’m going to kiss you now,’” Jennifer recalled.
“And I’m, like, ‘OK, let’s do it. Let’s hit it.’ I remember that clearly.”
Is anyone else, like, absolutely swooning at the idea of Matthew McConaughey speaking like that to them, or is it just me?
“I so enjoyed working with you,” Jennifer told him.
Then Jennifer and Matthew teased an even better reunion —a brand new movie with the two of them!
“We’re going to do something again, baby,” J.LO promised Matthew, saying, "20 years is too long!"
For what it's worth, Jennifer, I totally agree!
