Vanessa Hudgens Dragged For Breaking COVID Restrictions To Take Pictures For Instagram

Vanessa Hudgens, an actress best known for her work in High School Musical, The Princess Switch, Beastly, and Spring Breakers, is no strangers to making headlines, even when it comes to the pandemic.

Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to use online resources from CDC and WHO to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding COVID-19.

Vanessa Hudgens first came under fire at the beginning of the pandemic for what some perceived as insensitive comments about the seriousness of the situation.

During a live stream on Instagram, Vanessa said: "It's a virus. I get it. I respect it. But at the same time, like, even if everybody gets it, like, yeah, people are gonna die, which is terrible but, like, inevitable?"

Now Vanessa has come under fire again for traveling around Scotland while filming a movie, despite the country being under lockdown.

Vanessa faced heavy criticism after sharing photos of her travels around Scotland.

"[I] get that she's working on a film and that, but Jesus Christ we're all grounded by the government and she's just prancing about getting pics for the 'gram like we're not still in a pandemic," one fan tweeted after Vanessa shared some pictures to her Instagram.

Many fans questioned why Vanessa was travelling around and not sticking close to the film set.

"It's @VanessaHudgens taking a roadtrip around Scotland when we're in a nationwide lockdown for me," tweeted one fan.

"im sorry but the people defending Vanessa Hudgens can't be real, are we not in the same lockdown?? she hardly went on a little local walk all the way to the forth did she," another added.

However, others came to her defense.

"Apparently some of my fellow-countrymen can't grasp that there's nothing wrong with Vanessa Hudgens taking a selfie in front of the Forth Rail Bridge... She's here to make a movie, which is nice for the economy. She's been here since before the lockdown began, and hasn't quit," one fan wrote.
