'Harry Potter' Live-Action TV Series In Early Development

Calling all Harry Potter fans! A live-action Harry Potter TV series is in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

If you're wondering to yourself "Hey, weren't the original Harry Potter movies live-action?" you are CORRECT!

However, this just means the TV show will also be live-action and not animated. I know, right? I should work for the FBI with my set of stellar detective skills.

Fans of the *Harry Potter* franchise may be surprised to see another project highlighting the controversial J.K.'s Rowling's work.

For those of you who don't know, the 55-year-old British author of the beloved series has come under fire for her series of transphobic remarks.

Needless to say, the news of the TV show comes with mixed reviews.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that "broad ideas have been discussed as part of the early-stage exploratory meetings" and that executives at HBO Max and Warner Bros. are "engaged in meetings."

THR continued to say that no writers or actors are currently attached as "the conversations are still in the extremely early stages and no deals have been made."

It will be interesting to see what will transpire in the next few months!
