Jim Carrey Mocks Melania Trump In New Portrait As 'Worst First Lady'

Jim Carrey is not holding back when it comes to his political beliefs.

The actor and comedian recently released his latest political artwork: an unflattering portrait of former First Lady, Melania Trump.

But not everyone is giving it rave reviews, as the comedian is being slammed online for mocking Donald Trump's wife after leaving office.

As much as Donald Trump had loyal supporters during his reign, he had just as many haters.

Whether they were citizens, politicians, or celebrities, people weren't afraid to talk about how much they didn't like him.

That includes the very famous Jim Carrey.

In addition to being an actor and a comedian, Jim Carrey is also an artist.

It's something he's been doing since he was a kid. His artwork was even shown in a gallery show at L.A.'s Maccarone gallery!

One of the actor's creative specialties is demonstrating his political beliefs through his art.

He first begun sharing his work around the time of the 2016 presidential election.

He really "went there" with his art, depicting pictures of former president Donald Trump as the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz and Jeffrey Epstein as the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

After the 2021 Capitol riots, which took the lives of five people, the actor posted an animated cartoon of Trump to his Twitter.

The artwork depicted Trump as an evil clown.

“But Covfefe, the Killer Clown didn’t just come to take lives,” Carrey wrote alongside the image.

"He’s here to murder the truth and weaponize ignorance."

"Today’s defilement of the Capitol dome is the harvest of Republican negligence and outright sedition from the top down," he continued.

Many people echoed similar sentiments.

He even called out Joe Biden in his post.

“Sorry Joe… this clown made you a wartime president whether you like it or not," Carrey added.

As you can tell, Carrey is really not afraid to say (or draw) whatever is on his mind.

That controversial piece of art came a year after the actor said that he was done with political artwork.

“To me, that was a time…where I just wanted to be the lighthouse that was saying, ‘Hey, stay off the rocks. You’re headed for the rocks,’” Carrey told Yahoo at the time.

“We’re still headed for the rocks, but I’ve decided you understand my message. I don’t need to be steeped in it anymore.”

But now, a year after he said he was done with political artwork, the actor has shared what is arguably his most controversial piece yet.

It's an unflattering cartoon portrait of the former first lady, Melania Trump.

In addition to this, he had this message for her: “Oh… and goodbye worst First Lady,” he wrote on one side of the drawing.

"I hope the settlement can finance your life in the shallow end. Thx for nothing."

Like most of Carrey's political pieces, it's been met with mixed reviews.

"Why 'worst?'" wrote one Melania supporter. "She was classy and dignified. One of the best."

Another called Jim's artwork attack of the former first lady "absolutely appalling," adding that she did her job with "grace and dignity."

The actor has lost a lot of fans over his artwork.

"Wow, that's low. I really liked you and I thought you were inspiring," wrote this user.

One person even said that they were going to burn their Grinch DVD over his tweet (the actor starred as the lead in The Grinch).

But not everyone disliked the comedian's portrait.

His artwork opened up a dialogue about some of Melania's controversial moments as the first lady.

"She did nothing but waste space," tweeted one person. "I'll never forget that jacket she wore when they visited the children they put in cages."

This was referring to the infamous "I really don't care, do u?" jacket she wore in 2018.

So far, Melania (or Trump) has yet to comment on Carrey's unflattering portrait.

Given the fact that Melania walked away from press after the pair touched down in Palm Beach, Florida, there's a good chance that we won't be hearing from her for a while.

And you better believe he isn't done posting his artwork, no matter how much backlash he got from it.

"One of the most corrosive threats to society moving forward is social media and right wing disinformation. There should be giant fines for false info and if they call their content ‘hyperbole’ in court, they should not be allowed to call it ‘news’ on tv," he wrote on his newest piece.
