There is no denying America is facing unprecedented times in the wake of President-Elect Joe Biden’s succession to power.
Rioters stormed Capitol Hill and broke into the building on Wednesday, January 6, while President Trump continues to claim the election was “stolen” from him.
Now, George Clooney is addressing the entire Trump legacy in a powerful message.
Fans of George Clooney will know the actor has been incredibly outspoken about his political stance over the past few months.
Just last month he referred to President Donald Trump as a “charismatic carnival barker.”
Now, he’s getting candid in an upcoming episode of KCRW’s “The Business” podcast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter , George commented about the ongoing political unrest at the Capitol building following the riots on Wednesday.
“It’s devastating to watch the people’s house being desecrated in that way,” he began.
“But it is also a tremendous overreach in a way — everybody kept waiting for, what’s the one thing, the straw that breaks the camel’s back and it just seemed like that line just kept getting moved and moved and moved and outrage didn’t even matter anymore, even to the point of calling the Secretary of State in Georgia and pressuring him. None of that seemed to matter. This mattered.”
He continued: “This puts Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, all of them, into the dustbin of history.”
“That name will now forever be associated with insurrection.”
The full episode will be available to listen to on January 15.
