Parents Everywhere Rejoice As 'Caillou' Gets Cancelled

He's just a kid who's four, but it looks like he won't be learning each day anymore!

Caillou is a children's program following the adventures of a toddler named Caillou that has been quite contentious with parents over it's five season run starting in 1997 with reruns still being aired on PBS Kids until, evidently, this year.

*Caillou* has become a bit controversial in recent years.

Many parents have claimed that Caillou's whiny behavior and penchant for throwing tantrums has been a bad influence on their children!

I grew up watching Caillou, and I don't think it was that bad, but it looks like I might be in the minority!

PBS Kids just announced it will no longer be airing episodes of *Caillou* on its platform.

"We're saying farewell to Caillou, but remember, when we say goodbye to something, it just means we get to say hello to something new!" PBS Kids shared on Facebook.

There were a ton of parents very pleased by this news in the comments!

"Thank goodness!! That little boy was so rude to his mom and disobedient. I didn’t allow my kids to watch him because of that reason," one parent wrote.

"Glad your changing your format here...We stopped watching this show because it started not to be a good influence!" Another commented, while a subsequent comment read, "I absolutely hate that little cry baby. My daughter was never allowed to watch it."

"I swear this show taught my firstborn how to whine, when he hadn’t before we watched this show," one parent wrote.

"My kids always became whiny and horribly behaved after watching this awful show. Once I banned it, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they became better behaved," another commented.

What do you think? Do you agree with these parents, or are you sad to see Caillou go off the air? Let us know how you feel in the comments!
