Jinger Duggar Is Getting Roasted For Her Religious COVID-19 Remarks

If you're a fan of the hit TLC show Counting On, you know that Jinger Duggar and her hubby Jeremy Vuolo are one of the most beloved couples in the ultra-conservative Duggar family.

The pair have maintained a close relationship with both Jinger's family and their faith, which is evident from both their social media accounts.

However, Jinger is now facing backlash for some comments she made about COVID-19.

It's no secret Jinger and her husband Jeremy hold their Christian faith near and dear to their hearts.

The pair often share their favorite Bible scriptures on social media and use their platforms to share God's word.

However, Jinger is now coming under fire for some seemingly insensitive comments about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

"2020, what a year it’s been," she began.

"Many people have suffered more this year than they ever have before. Many have wept over the loss of a loved one. Countless have lost their source of income. Depression and anxiety running rampant as the future remains uncertain."

"I have been pondering the reality of what has taken place this past year. It’s a year that has shaken not only the US but the entire world. How easy it is for us to place our confidence in health, finances, or even government."

She continued: "I have been reminded more over the past year of the truth of God’s ultimate control over all things. Who could’ve predicted at the beginning of 2020 that it would’ve unfolded the way it did? And yet, none of what has taken place this past year is a surprise to God. He is still in control. He is still on His throne. His promises are still true."

"One truth that I want to consistently remind myself of this year is that, regardless of the circumstances, we CAN have perfect peace because our HOPE is in Heaven."

Jinger's post struck a chord with a lot of followers, but not in the way she intended.

"Are you happy Jinger? Doesn’t seem like you are," asked one fan.

"What about the Christians who died of Covid? Why did God do that?" commented one user. "It would help if your church complied with pandemic regulations, but whatever," commented another.

@lucie_love_angel wrote a lengthy post in reply to Jinger's post, saying: "'Who could've predicted at the beginning of 2020 that it would've unfolded the way it did?' Scientists. Doctor and Scientists, who have studied to understand how pandemics work. Who have told the government, and the people, to wear masks, to wash hands, to keep a distance of at least 1.5m between you and others. Maybe, just maybe, listening to professionals is better then going to a packed church during a global pandemic."

Jinger has yet to comment on the backlash.
