10+ Really Expensive Things 'The Big Bang Theory' Cast Spent Their Money On

The Big Bang Theory was responsible for a lot of things: making fans laugh, starting household names, and making its cast members very, very rich.

In 2018 alone, four cast members of the hit CBS comedy were in the top five of the highest-paid TV actors.

As you can imagine, they've gone all-out with spending their well-deserved money.

During its historic 12 season-long run, *The Big Bang Theory* was one of the most popular shows on television.

CBS

It was a total revamping of classic sitcom tropes. Smart became the new sexy almost overnight and nerd culture shifted from the relative fringes of pop culture to the absolute forefront.

By the time the final season rolled around, each of the primary cast members were making more than $1 million per episode.

CBS

They agreed to actually take a pay cut in order to help Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch receive a raise.

When all was said and done, Melissa and Mayim were making $425,000 an episode, while the main cast made $900,000.

With all that money, what do you think they spent it on?

1. Kaley Cuoco - horses

In case you didn't know, Kaley is obsessed with horses. She used to be a competitive rider and she even met her husband at a horse show.

This means that she has spent quite the pretty penny on them, as horses can cost $40,000 apiece.

2. Jim Parsons - Mercedes S-Class

When the actor drives anywhere, he arrives in style with his show-stopping ride, which cost $91,000!

Surprisingly, though, Kaley has him beat with her SLS AMG GT Mercedes-Benz, which cost at least $250,000. Can we be them??

3. Kaley Cuoco - $12 million mansion

Back in March, Kaley and her husband of two years, Karl Cook, moved into their lavish mansion in L.A.

As shown by posts shared by the celeb, it has high ceilings, a custom-made dining room set, and so much more.

4. Johnny Galecki - $9.2 million mansion

In 2015, the actor purchased the home from action star Jason Statham. The late-1920s Spanish villa is located in the Outpost Estates neighborhood in Hollywood.

It features 5,334 square feet, six bedrooms, and six bathrooms.

5. Jim Parsons - $6 million home

Back in 2014, the actor purchased the Spanish-style residence in the swanky celeb-packed neighborhood of Los Feliz.

It had three bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and 4,026 square feet on a generous 1.45 acres. He sold it in 2018 for $8.95 million.

6. Johnny Galecki - $1.2 million rural getaway

The actor had high hopes for the rural ranch property, which is located in Santa Margarita, California.

But sadly, the three-bedroom home burned to the ground in 2017 from a wildfire. This meant that he faced a substantial financial loss.

As heartbreaking as the entire situation was, Johnny was filled with nothing but gratitude for the fire fighters and first responders.

"Endless thanks to CalFire and the Sheriff's Office. I know you guys are fighting the good fight to keep us safe. So very relieved no one has been hurt," Johnny said in a comment made via BBC News.

7. Jim Parsons - Manhattan penthouses

The actor owns not one, but two penthouses in Manhattan. They're even right next door to each other!

It ended up costing Jim and his husband, Todd Spiewak, $3.7 million for both of them.

8. Kunal Nayyar - $7.5 million mansion

Not many people can say that they live in Nicolas Cage's former house. But Kunal and his wife, Neha Kapur, can.

The couple purchased the gorgeous mansion, located in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, in 2011.

9. Simon Helberg - $6.8 million mansion

The cast certainly enjoy their mansions!

In 2019, Helberg bought a new house in Los Feliz for $6.8 million. Like many of his former costars, the home is Spanish-inspired. It also features five bedrooms and a guesthouse.

It was also at one point the residence of the infamous Charlie Sheen.

I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty hesitant to lay my head down to sleep in the same bedroom that once belonged to Charlie Sheen.

All of that Warlock magic and tiger blood would keep me up at night.

10. Kaley Cuoco - wedding dress

The star's marriage to Ryan Sweeting may not have lasted, but this iconic pink dress will live on forever.

While we're not sure the exact price, it wouldn't be cheap to purchase a custom-made pink tulle ball gown by Vera Wang.

11. Jim Parsons - Chopard's L.U.C. 1937 Classic timepiece watch

Jim wore the luxurious $20,000 watch to the 64th Annual PRIMETIME Emmy Awards.

He looked so distinguished with it paired with baguette-cut white diamond cufflinks set in 18-carat white gold.

12. Kaley Cuoco - plastic surgery

The star has had plastic surgery on her nose and breasts — and she's not afraid to admit it.

"Years ago, I had my nose done. And my boobs — best thing I ever did,” she told Women's Health.

“Recently I had a filler in a line in my neck I’ve had since I was 12," she continued.

While exact prices are a little fuzzy, a boob job can range anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000, while a nose job typically costs over $5,000.

13. Jim Parsons - his New York City wedding

After waiting 15 years to get married, the actor went all-out for his nuptials to longtime partner Todd Spiewak.

The couple got married at the Rainbow Room in New York City on May 13, 2017.

Speaking of the wedding, a huge chunk of the budget was likely the grooms' dapper Tom Ford suit jackets.

Since most jackets on the designer's website cost over $4,000 a piece, there is a very good chance that their custom-made ones cost anywhere in the $10,000-$15,000 range.

14. Kunal Nayyar - Bollywood wedding

A six-day celebration isn't cheap! The actor wed former Miss India Neha Kapur on Dec. 22, 2011, in New Delhi, India.

They stuck to typical traditions, such as the bride and groom wearing traditional wear and Kunal arriving at the festivities on horseback.

15. Mayim Bialik - Tiffany & Co. jewelry

Diamonds are a girl's best friend!

In a blog post on the star's website, she wrote that she decided to do something very uncharacteristic for herself: She commemorated the end of The Big Bang Theory with jewelry.

She revealed that she got a ring and three bracelets, as well as an “M” necklace.

"They were not terribly expensive compared to the rest of the store, so that felt like I wasn’t going too far out of my comfort zone."

16. Kaley Cuoco - wedding dress, again

For her second wedding to Karl Cook, the star went out with a big bang by wearing not one, but two wedding dresses.

This included this all-lace jumpsuit for her reception. By the looks of it, it couldn't have been cheap!

17. Kaley Cuoco - guilty tipping

Kaley has stated that it makes her uncomfortable that so many people are aware of her incredibly high earnings.

The thought has been known to make her overcompensate at times. For instance, Kailey once tipped someone $20 just for bringing her a different shoe size while she was shopping.

18. Johnny Galecki - motorcyles

Johnny has been a motorcycle enthusiast for the better part of his whole life. He owns several vintage bikes, including a Harley Davidson, as well as this beautiful Indian motorcycle you see pictured above.

In case you were curious, the sticker price for that hog is roughly $27,000.

19. Johnny Galecki - guitar collection

Johnny is a guitar enthusiast and boasts an impressive collection of instruments. One of his axes, pictured here, is a Gibson Les Paul Jr. worth somewhere in the range of $5,000 USD.

Johnny was recently given a guitar by Norm of Norman's Guitars worth upwards of $15,000.

As you can see, the cast has no shortage of sensible and fun purchases.

CBS

Which I suppose only leaves one question: What would you do with a million dollars?
