Woman Demands Husband Take A Paternity Test To See If He Fathered Their Friend's Kid

Sometimes in our relationships and marriages, things can go south rather quickly.

When we suspect our partners of infidelity, it can be a very slippery slope of drama and arguments. While the idea of our SO cheating is hard enough, trying to find the proof is even harder.

Recently, one woman on Reddit was in a bit of a predicament when it came to her husband and infidelity.

Not only does she suspect that her husband had an affair with someone, she also thinks that her husband fathered a child with the woman.

To make things even more tricky, she believes the woman is her friend.

The woman, apparently, believes that her husband fathered her best friend's child and now is asking him and her friend to do a paternity test to get down to the truth.

The friend is a single mother with no "baby daddy."

"So one of my best friends had a kid 3 years ago. She said it was a one night stand and later the guy expressed no interest in being a dad so she raised her son herself. No one has ever seen this guy, not even me," she wrote.

Apparently, the child looks exactly like the Reddit user's husband.

"The issue is this: this kid looks EXTREMELY like my husband like to an insane degree. The hair color, eyes, face everything. He’s even been out with my friend and her son and people have mistaken him to be the dad before," she said.

The wife said she has "had suspicions," especially because they lived rather close to the friend when she got pregnant.

"Over the past year it’s really eaten at me. I see the resemblance growing more and more. It doesn’t help that my friend refuses to show me a picture of her son’s biological father no matter how much I asked.

It kept spiraling until I had a meltdown and confronted both of them, saying that I will pack up and leave if I don’t see a paternity test," she admitted.

As it turns out, her friend was willing to get the paternity test to showcase the Reddit user that she's wrong.

"Long story short, my friend got a paternity test but said our friendship is over. The test says my husband isn’t the father," she revealed.

Now, the Reddit user feels "guilty and ashamed." She thought her husband would "get over it."

"I feel so ashamed to lose my friend but I thought my husband would slightly understand since even he sees the obvious resemblance between him and this kid.

But he has moved out for the time being and I’m worried this is the end of our marriage," she added.

She asked the Reddit community if she was "wrong" for insisting that they get the paternity test done.

The majority of people said that the Reddit user was 100% wrong. Many said she has "deeper problems to resolve."

"You need to get therapy, OP. Regardless of whether or not your marriage survives--and if I were your spouse, I don't think it would--this is obviously a pretty serious problem," one person said.

Many said that she was "over the top" and let her insecurities get the best of her.

"You let your insecurities get the better of you to an insane degree and, instead of talking it over in a normal (albeit wildly uncomfortable) conversation, you waited till you went crazy and threatened to leave them all if they didnt do exactly what you wanted," another added.

Do you think this wife is totally in the wrong, too?
