After 13 Long Years, Amy Adams Will Return For 'Enchanted' Sequel

What's your favorite Disney movie and why is it Enchanted?

There were so many ways for a live-action Disney princess film to go wrong, especially one that wasn't based on a successful cartoon and isn't ripe with nostalgia, but Enchanted somehow made it work — like magic!

Now that a sequel, Disenchanted is on the way, we can only hope for a little taste of that magic again.

*Enchanted* is one of Disney's best films.

The live-action cheeky take on a Disney princess story follows Amy Adams as Giselle, a cartoon princess who gets brought to the real world in modern-day New York and has to figure out how to fit in and also how to go home.

Of course, she falls in love along the way — who wouldn't, when Patrick Dempsey is right there?

Director and writer Adam Shankman was the first to reveal a sequel was in the works all the way back in March.

"Looks like Il be working on a looooooottttt of magic for awhile... I feel incredibly honored and humbled to be guiding forward these two Disney crown jewel legacies," he wrote, alongside a picture of the first pages of scripts for Disenchanted, the Enchanted sequel, and Hocus Pocus 2.

Disney confirmed on December 10th that Amy Adams would officially be reprising her role as Giselle!

We're so excited — it just wouldn't be Enchanted without Princess Giselle, and there's no Giselle without Amy Adams!

Obviously, fans are just as excited as we are.

Fans took to Twitter to share their excitement.

"FINALLY GETTING AMY ADAMS BACK AS GISELLE," one fan exclaimed in a tweet.
