Hayden Christensen Will Be Darth Vader In 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Series On Disney+

Christmas came early this year for Star Wars fans! Let's be real, who isn't a Star Wars fan in 2020? Have you SEEN Baby Yoda?

December 10th was Disney's 2020 Investor Day, and they announced an absolute plethora of new content, but one announcement in particular caught our eye: Anakin Skywalker was coming back!

Most of us remember Hayden Christensen as the cutest Sith lord in cinematic history.

While the prequel movies are highly debated and not held in particularly high regard by much of the Star Wars fandom at large, there's generally a lot of love for Hayden Christensen and his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker, the young Jedi who eventually goes to the dark side to become Darth Vader.

Sorry, spoilers!

Disney made an exciting announcement last night: Hayden would be returning as Anakin on Disney+!

"Hayden Christensen returns as Darth Vader, joining Ewan McGregor in OBI-WAN KENOBI," the official Star Wars twitter account shared.

Hayden AND Ewan?! The two best parts of the prequels reuniting? Sign me up!

"The Original Series begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Revenge of the Sith, and is coming to #DisneyPlus," the account revealed.

Fans are pretty excited to see Hayden return!

"What’s great about them bringing #HaydenChristensen back is that he gets to prove his detractors wrong," tweeted one fan.

I don't blame them for being excited!

"EWAN MCGREGOR AND HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN TOGETHER IN THE SAME SHOW AFTER FIFTEEN YEARS THIS IS NOT A DRIL," one fan tweeted.
