Demi Lovato Dragged For Roasting Turkey After 'Cuddling' One At Vegan Sanctuary

There's a saying about eating your words, but I don't think it was meant to be taken so literally!

Singer and actress Demi Lovato has recently come under fire after her Thanksgiving meal reminded her fans that she had been promoting adopting turkeys to save them from being eaten just months before.

In October, Demi shared a few pictures of herself at Farm Sanctuary, an animal rescue for farm animals.

"I recently visited @farmsanctuary, which is the first animal rescue specifically for farm animals in the U.S. I spent the day with cows, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, and turkeys, who were all rescued from cruelty," she wrote at the time.

"The highlight of my tour was cuddling with a rescued turkey named Sandy."

"Not only are these animals cute, but they are forgiving. The animals at @farmsanctuary had to learn to trust humans after what they’d been through, and their strength and resilience is amazing! Check out adoptaturkey.org or @farmsanctuary’s page for more information! #AdoptATurkey," she wrote, encouraging her followers to take part in the sanctuary's movement to "adopt" turkeys rather than eat them for the holiday.

However, when Thanksgiving weekend passed, it seemed Demi was singing a different tune.

Demi shared a picture of a roasted turkey to her Instagram stories with the caption, "I'm thankful for all of you."

Fans immediately noticed the discrepancy between the two messages and began calling Demi out for it.

Fans were not happy with Demi.

"Another Hollyweird hypocrite," one fan tweeted.

What do you think? Was Demi being hypocritical, or are people overreacting? Let us know how you feel in the comments!
