Brad Paisley's Free Grocery Store Has Provided Over 700k Meals To Those In Need During Pandemic

We love generous celebrities!

We all like to believe that if we came into a lot of money, that we'd be humanitarians and put a lot of it towards helping others. That's not always the case with celebrities, but for country star Brad Paisley, it most definitely is.

Brad has made an incredible difference in the lives of so many people by providing them with food during an incredibly difficult time.

Brad Paisley is a country legend.

You almost definitely know him from any of his hits like 'Whiskey Lullaby,' 'I'm Gonna Miss Her,' 'Online,' 'Waitin' On A Woman,' 'No I In Beer,' and tons more, but if you don't know him for that, you probably know him for another huge part of his life: his free grocery store.

Brad and his wife Kimberly have opened The Store

The Store is a totally free grocery store for those who are experiencing food insecurity. It's set up like a regular grocery store rather than a foodbank to get rid of "the sting of embarrassment" that might come with needing assistance, Brad said.

Obviously during the pandemic, Brad has opted to delivering meals to those in need instead.

"There was nothing like the one on one, when you dropped the food off at the door and see the faces of the people you're serving, you'll never forget it," Brad said.

That sounds like emotional and fulfilling work!

"I think it's been one of the most rewarding things we've ever done, having done this."

"But the timing of it for us has been... it's sipping water from a fire hose," he said. "It's unbelievable."

It's so amazing that even while doing this amazing, selfless act, Brad is still concerned about what more needs to be done!

"The need is so far beyond what we expected," Brad said.

"As of right now, we're at 777,000 meals since March, and that is three or four times what we ever thought we could do in one year," Brad revealed.

What an incredible number of meals that must've made a huge difference in so many lives!

"It really just comes down to dollars feed people."

"And if you've got those to spare, give them," Brad said, encouraging everyone to donate to food banks in their areas.

What an incredible spirit! They really don't make many celebrities like Brad Paisley these days, but we sure could use more!
