Woman Shares Genius 'Hack' For Reviving Dead Fall Mums

Are you absolutely helpless at keeping plants alive? Is your thumb as cursed as they come? Do you frequently forget to water your plants, and then feel awful when they die?

Then this "hack" might be for you. Yes, that's in quotation marks. You'll see.

Keeping plants alive feels like a full-time job.

You have to love them, nurture them, and keep a constant eye on them. Maybe even sing them some songs!

Unfortunately, if you're like me, those things up and die on you, anyway.

One Facebook user found a hilarious fix for her dead fall mums.

As you can see, this bush of them was basically past saving. Hey, it's hard to remember to water your indoor plants, let alone your outdoor ones! No judgement over here.

Enter: the hack

I snorted when I saw what the "hack" was, you guys. This is so cheeky. The plant was already dead, so no harm done. Well, no further harm done, I should say.

Voilà, we have a new plant!

And that, dear readers, is why we buy fake plants in my household. Between cats who love to snack on plants, and my own forgetful brain, there is no chance for a plant to stay alive around here. I respect this so much.

People absolutely loved the post.

I truly think the best part is that everyone quickly started tagging their friends that they think would also pull this kind of stunt. You guys are telling on your friends, and I love it.

This comment took me out.

"Grandma's not the only one." MORE PEOPLE DO THIS? I am actually so entertained by this concept. Can you imagine spotting your grandma spray painting her plants?

Apparently, this isn't an uncommon thing.

Hey, when you don't want to buy Halloween decor and Mother Nature randomly provides you some, you don't turn it down. It's just smart to paint the rest black!

Don't worry, Tabatha has big plans for her other plants.

When they eventually die, the other mums will be sporting some spray paint, too! May as well lean into it at that point.

What color would you go for? I'm thinking a nice, pastel pink.

Some people got inspired by the post.

Nothing like a viral Facebook post to help you figure out what to do with your dead fall mums. Yes, that sentence is a little weird out of context. Let's roll with it.
